ABOUT THE ROLE
This individual will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of financial and accounting activities at Golden 1 Center and Sutter Health Park.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)
- Work directly with the Finance Manager to prepare daily sales reports, event settlements, and reconciliation of credit card transactions
- Oversee the inventory process and perform in-depth cost of goods analysis
- Ensure a timely and accurate month-end closing process
- Analyze monthly balance sheet and P&L figures to prepare comments and explain performance trends
- Assist General Manager in preparing weekly forecast reports
- Reviews all contracts for client, events, subcontractors, food and beverage or concessionaires.
- Prepares financial statements for the Client and Legends Global Corporate.
- Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses.
- Analyzes financial performance and cost analyses for all departments; prepares monthly financial statements, recommends appropriate actions/changes to meet business goals.
- Coordinates preparation of Client or external audit materials and financial reporting; implements recommendations of Client as requested.
- Coordinates year-end report of fiscal performance for the General Manager.
- Directs the installation and maintenance of any new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, and other related procedures and controls.
- Participates in union labor contract administration; maintains effective working relationship with union representatives.
- Build solid working relationships and trust with business and department leaders
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)
Education and/or Experience
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
- Minimum 5 years of experience preferably in accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head
- Experience in hospitality or sports a plus
Skills and Abilities
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required+
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential
- Must be highly analytical, and to understand complex business dynamics
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
- Knowledge of D365, YellowDog, and Point of Sale systems a plus
- Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements with occasional late nights, weekends, and holidays
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- CPA is preferred.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000 commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is bonus eligible. Legends Global offers a competitive total rewards package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
