Technical Writer

Tesla Residential Energy products, including Solar, Powerwall, and home charging, need clear, accurate content so internal teams, installers, and homeowners can install, support, and use them well. As Technical Writer, you will turn complex product information into support pages, troubleshooting guides, training slides, and diagrams.

You will create, localise, and share technical content with engineers, trainers, and in-country experts, and keep materials current as products change. You enjoy making difficult topics easy to follow, sweat the details, and work well across a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

This role is available in Manchester, Amsterdam, and Berlin.

- Gather technical information from subject-matter experts and rewrite it in clear language for internal teams, installers, and homeowners
- Create and maintain troubleshooting guides, support pages, and training materials
- Produce slides, diagrams, and other visuals that make technical information easier to understand
- Support localisation with in-country experts so style, tone, and terminology stay consistent across languages and formats
- Partner with trainers and other teams so content matches learning objectives and stays current as products change
- Improve how technical content is created and kept up to date

- 2+ years of technical writing, training-content development, or related experience, preferably in a high-tech or product-centric environment
- Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them simply, with excellent written English and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with Visio, Photoshop, Storyline, Rise, or similar content-creation tools is beneficial
- Strong organisation, with the ability to adapt when priorities shift
- Collaborative, approachable communicator, comfortable working with engineers, trainers, regional experts, and other departments
