Arconic is seeking General Electrician to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN .

Basic Qualifications :
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
- Candidate must have a Journeyman Certificate with experience in Industrial Electricity or equivalent experience.
- Satisfactorily pass a comprehensive online and hands-on skills test.
- Pass a physical examination, drug screen test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience required in installation and troubleshooting of PLC’s, CNC equipment, A.C./D.C. servo systems, A.C. frequency drives, power distribution and electrohydraulic systems.
- Capable of installing and debugging new or retrofitted automation equipment and able to modify or write PLC logic. -Or a Journeyman’s card (A Department of Labor Certificate or Equal). Testing and a skills demonstration will be required. Permanent employment subject to a probation period not to exceed 6 months.
- If you are not currently working as a general electrician, proof of experience and/or a copy of your Journeyman’s card must accompany your bid.
