We continue to invest in electrical engineering resources to design and develop leadership in electronic capabilities; something unique within the industry. And we’re pushing the limits in firmware engineering, power electronics, embedded systems, machine learning, and the use of artificial intelligence.
Behind our doors you’ll be empowered every day to own it, drive it, and do what it takes to design and develop the biggest breakthroughs in the industry. Meanwhile, you’ll have the support and resources of the fastest-growing brand in the construction industry to make it happen.
Year after year, our team continues to make significant breakthroughs in the industry. We’re just getting started. To learn more about our story click HERE .
The Electrical Engineer 2 - Embedded Systems Hardware will design, develop, test, and validate MCU-based embedded hardware platforms, with a strong focus on circuit design, hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and reference design delivery. You will work closely with hardware, firmware, systems, test, product development, architecture, and reliability engineers to solve hardware and system-level challenges. Working knowledge of embedded firmware will enable effective MCU configuration, hardware validation, and HW/FW integration and debugging.
You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
- Actively contribute as hardware electrical engineer in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers designing, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting and documenting of embedded electronics platforms.
- You will design, prototype, test, troubleshoot, and document embedded electronics platforms as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Develop embedded hardware from concept and schematic through bring-up, validation, and documentation, including test plans, procedures, and test cases.
- Design and validate MCU interface circuitry, including analog and digital signal conditioning, filtering, communication interfaces, control circuits, and protection circuitry.
- Understand and troubleshoot MCU peripherals and interfaces, including GPIO, timers, ADCs, and communication peripherals, while partnering closely with firmware engineers.
- Independently troubleshoot embedded hardware and system-level interactions, using hardware modifications and embedded firmware as needed to isolate root cause.
- Evaluate critical electronic components, perform technical tradeoff analyses, and recommend design or requirement changes based on performance, cost, risk, and project needs.
- Apply engineering best practices including circuit simulation, derating analysis, PCB design/layout, instrumentation, root-cause analysis, validation, and technical documentation.
- Own assigned deliverables against project schedules and work breakdown structures while proactively communicating technical risks, opportunities, recommendations, and required escalations.
- Collaborate effectively with hardware, firmware, systems, test, reliability, product-development teams, and external semiconductor/component suppliers.
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field, with approximately 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
- Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design.
- Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, testing, and troubleshooting MCU-based embedded hardware.
- Proficiency using laboratory instrumentation including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Experience with schematic capture and the PCB design/layout process using ECAD tools.
- Experience applying circuit simulation and engineering analysis to guide and validate hardware designs.
- Working knowledge of MCU peripherals including GPIO, timers, ADCs, and serial communication interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot hardware and perform root-cause analysis.
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
- Experience performing PCB rework and circuit modifications to support prototype bring-up, debugging, and design validation.
- Experience using embedded C/C++ to configure MCU peripherals and support hardware bring-up, test, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting EMC/EMI testing, troubleshooting results, and implementing design improvements.
- Experience with embedded communication interfaces such as UART, I²C, SPI, USB, or CAN.
- Experience evaluating and selecting MCUs, sensors, analog devices, communication ICs, or other semiconductor components.
We provide these great perks and benefits:
- Robust health, dental and vision insurance plans.
- Generous 401 (K) savings plan.
- Education assistance.
- On-site wellness, fitness center, food, and coffee service.
