Red Seal Welder/Fabricator

We are currently seeking a Red Seal Welder/Fabricator to join our Lunenburg Operations . The Red Seal Welder/Fabricator will possess the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic maintenance team in a progressive work environment. This is a unionized position located at our plant in Lunenburg, NS. The successful candidate will be assigned to an available shift by seniority following completion of in-house training. ( Relocation assistance available to those who are eligible )

Primary Responsibilities:

- Fabricating or modifying production equipment

- Completion of preventative maintenance tasks

- Ability to work with hand and powered tools

- Conduct or assist with general mechanical maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and other assigned maintenance activities when fabrication or welding work is not required

- Other projects/duties as required

The successful applicant will possess the following:

- Certification as a welder

- Capable of fabricating or modifying production equipment

- Experience in the food processing industry would be an asset.

- Familiar with food processing and packaging equipment preferred.

- Good general mechanical aptitude, with the ability and willingness to apply transferable skills to a variety of maintenance activities and work assignments as operational needs require

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Work Location: Lunenburg, In person
