Pay Rate: $21.00–$23.00 per hour
Schedule: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Breaks: One-hour meal break and one 15-minute break
Position Overview
Blueline Security Services is seeking a professional, reliable, and alert Unarmed Security Officer for a busy retail location in Northwest Washington, DC.
The officer will be stationed primarily at the front of the store and will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, observing activity, reporting concerns, and helping deter theft and other security issues.
This is a fast-paced retail environment with significant foot traffic. The ideal candidate must be able to remain focused, calm, professional, and alert throughout the entire shift.
Job Duties
- Maintain a visible security presence at the front of the store.
- Observe customers, employees, and activity throughout the retail environment.
- Deter theft, unauthorized activity, and other security concerns.
- Report suspicious activity, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
- Remain alert and focused throughout the entire shift.
- Stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Work effectively in a high-paced retail environment with heavy foot traffic.
- Complete required reports and documentation accurately.
- Follow all Blueline Security Services and client post orders.
- Provide professional customer service while maintaining appropriate security awareness.
Position Requirements
- Must possess a valid Washington, DC Security Officer License.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be available to work the 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM schedule.
- Must be reliable and on time for every shift.
- Must be able to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must remain alert, attentive, and focused throughout the entire shift.
- Must be able to handle a high-paced environment with significant foot traffic.
- Must be able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong observation and communication skills required.
- Must maintain a clean, well-groomed, and professional appearance at all times.
- Uniform must be clean, complete, properly fitted, and worn correctly for every shift.
- Uniform and overall appearance must remain on point throughout the entire shift.
- Must report to work in full uniform and ready to work.
- No personal cell phone use while on duty. Cell phones may only be used for work-related purposes.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Prior retail security experience is preferred but not required.

Minimum Employment Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Provide prior employment references
- Maintain a clean driving record and criminal background
- Successfully pass a background check
- Successfully pass a drug test
- Possess and maintain any required security licensing for the position
