Job Description
Turner & Townsend are seeking a Northeast Semiconductor Lead to strengthen client relationships, lead cost and project management services, and recruit and develop a strong regional team. Working closely with our North America Semiconductor Lead and regional leadership, you will combine direct client delivery responsibility with a clear mandate to grow our Northeast business and capabilities.
You will connect regional delivery teams with our national and international specialists, bringing proven approaches and fresh thinking to client challenges. We are looking for a leader who earns trust through delivery, leads with empathy and integrity, invests in people’s development, and turns new ideas into practical improvements in cost, schedule and performance.
You will build a team culture grounded in respect, collaboration and shared accountability - where people feel heard, supported and confident to raise concerns or contribute ideas. Through active listening, clear expectations, constructive feedback and recognition of others’ contributions, you will help people do their best work and build lasting careers. You will set high standards, address challenges fairly and constructively, and create opportunities for people to take on greater responsibility.
This is an opportunity to help build a regional business, and influence how we deliver and develop the next generation of semiconductor leaders. You will play a key role in shaping Turner & Townsend's semiconductor growth strategy across the Northeast market, helping clients deliver some of the industry's most significant capital investments while expanding our regional presence and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead client relationships: Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for assigned accounts and programs. Understand their business priorities, maintain regular engagement with key stakeholders, and take ownership of service performance, issue resolution and follow-through.
- Deliver integrated services: Lead multidisciplinary teams across cost management, project and program management, and project controls. Establish clear responsibilities and coordinate services around the client’s scope, investment objectives and delivery milestones.
- Manage program P&L: Own Turner & Townsend’s profit and loss performance for assigned programs, including fee budgets, revenue and margin forecasts, staffing costs, utilization, invoicing and collections. Address financial risks early while maintaining delivery quality and client commitments.
- Develop the regional business: Work with national and regional leadership to build and execute a Northeast semiconductor growth plan. Identify opportunities, strengthen existing accounts and expand services in line with client needs and available capability.
- Lead proposal writing and pursuits: Develop and write compelling, client-specific proposals, including executive summaries, delivery approaches, scopes of service, staffing plans and fee submissions. Coordinate technical contributors, lead client presentations and interviews, and ensure commitments translate into achievable delivery plans.
- Recruit, hire and mobilize talent: Take an active role in sourcing, interviewing and selecting cost, project management and controls professionals. Partner with recruitment and business leadership on hiring decisions, onboarding and timely deployment.
- Build and scale teams: Forecast resource needs, develop staffing plans and grow teams in step with secured work and credible demand. Establish effective team structures, leadership coverage and succession plans that support continuity as programs expand.
- Develop people and strengthen culture: Lead with empathy, integrity and clear expectations. Coach emerging leaders, provide timely feedback, recognize contributions and address performance concerns fairly. Create an environment where people collaborate, raise concerns and have opportunities to develop.
- Establish delivery governance: Set up program execution plans, reporting standards, decision processes and escalation routes appropriate to each appointment. Maintain clear accountability across Turner & Townsend, client teams and delivery partners.
- Oversee cost and commercial performance: Guide estimating, budgeting, procurement support, cost control, forecasting, change management and commercial closeout. Ensure advice is accurate, supported by evidence and useful to client decisions.
- Connect cost, schedule and risk: Bring discipline leads together to assess progress, changes and emerging issues. Present coordinated recommendations that explain the implications for scope, cost, schedule and facility readiness.
- Resolve delivery challenges: Act as the senior escalation point for service, staffing, commercial and client concerns. Agree practical corrective actions, assign ownership and monitor resolution through completion.
- Maintain commercial discipline: Define and manage service scopes, contractual commitments and change control. Identify additional service requirements early and agree appropriate resources and fees through established approval processes.
- Stay engaged with clients and teams: Maintain a regular presence at client and project locations. Seek feedback, monitor team capacity and delivery quality, and address issues before they affect client confidence or employee wellbeing.
- Advance innovation and responsible AI adoption: Identify practical uses for approved digital tools, automation, data analytics and AI that improve productivity, reporting and decision-making. Support adoption while maintaining human review, accuracy and client confidentiality.
- Connect regional and global expertise: Collaborate with national and international semiconductor colleagues to share talent, benchmarking, lessons learned and delivery approaches. Bring relevant expertise to local clients and contribute regional experience to the wider business.
- Uphold safe, ethical and accountable delivery: Reinforce health, safety, quality and business governance expectations within our scope of services. Maintain required approvals and financial controls, and ensure teams understand their responsibilities.
- Represent Turner & Townsend within the semiconductor market by participating in industry organizations, client forums, conferences and strategic networking activities that strengthen brand visibility, market intelligence and client relationships.
Qualifications
We are looking for a leader who can earn client trust, build strong teams and deliver results. We assess candidates by the relevance of their experience, the responsibilities they have held and the outcomes they have achieved.
What you will bring
- Proven leadership and delivery: A record of leading teams, projects or programs in semiconductor manufacturing or similarly complex capital environments. You can demonstrate sound decisions, ownership of challenges and consistent follow-through.
- Relevant technical capability: Strong experience in cost and commercial management, project and program management, or project controls, with the ability to lead specialists across these disciplines. Deep expertise in every service area is not expected.
- Client relationship ownership: The ability to serve as a trusted primary client contact, understand business priorities, communicate difficult messages constructively and resolve concerns. Evidence of earning repeat work or expanding relationships through delivery is valuable.
- People leadership and team development: Experience recruiting, hiring, developing or scaling teams, supported by a leadership style grounded in empathy, accountability and respect. You set clear expectations, address performance issues fairly and help others grow.
- Commercial and financial judgment: Experience managing program or business financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, staffing and commercial risks. Direct P&L ownership is valuable; comparable accountability for financial outcomes is also relevant.
- Business development and communication: The ability to translate client needs into clear proposals, scopes, staffing plans and presentations. You can explain complex issues plainly and make credible commitments that delivery teams can fulfill.
- Collaboration and adaptability: The ability to connect disciplines, work across organizational boundaries and bring in expertise when needed. You remain effective as priorities change and approach new challenges with curiosity and practical judgment.
- Executive presence and influence: The ability to engage credibly with senior client stakeholders, industry leaders and internal executives, helping align business objectives, delivery strategies and long-term partnership goals.

- Semiconductor facility, cleanroom, critical utilities or tool installation experience, including familiarity with the Northeast market.
- Experience in consulting, owner advisory or professional services, including fee development, service agreements and account growth.
- Practical use of digital tools, automation, analytics or responsibly applied AI to improve delivery and client decisions.
- Relevant education, trade or technical training, or professional credentials. We equally welcome candidates whose capabilities were developed through hands-on delivery and progressive leadership responsibility.
