About this role

About ENFOS:

ENFOS is a profitable, 25-year-old enterprise SaaS company serving many of the world’s leading industrial organizations. Our platform helps finance, accounting, operations, and compliance teams manage complex Environmental Obligations through a centralized system of record built for governance, audit readiness, and operational scale.

We operate in the Environmental Obligation Management market, where many enterprises still rely on spreadsheets and fragmented workflows to manage ASC 410 and IAS 37 liabilities. ENFOS is the only enterprise subledger accounting platform purpose-built to address these challenges through integrated financial, scientific, and operational workflows.

Our platform supports the full Environmental Obligation lifecycle, from identification through derecognition, while enabling enterprise-grade financial controls, audit defensibility, and cross-functional collaboration.

As we modernize the platform for the next generation of enterprise workflows, we are investing heavily in product innovation, AI-enabled capabilities, user experience modernization, and scalable enterprise architecture.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Owner to help drive the next phase of ENFOS platform evolution. This role will own backlog execution and delivery for a defined product area while partnering closely with Engineering, QA, UX, and business stakeholders to ship high-quality enterprise software.

The ideal candidate combines strong product execution discipline with an AI-first mindset and the ability to translate ambiguous, high-stakes business problems into clear requirements, measurable outcomes, and scalable workflows.

This role sits at the intersection of enterprise product management, agile delivery, and AI-enabled software development. You will help shape both how we build software internally and how AI capabilities are incorporated into the ENFOS platform.

Your work will directly impact how finance, accounting, operations, and compliance teams govern Environmental Obligations across global industrial enterprises.

What You'll Do:

1. Own the Product Backlog and Drive Delivery

Own backlog prioritization and delivery for a defined product area, translating strategy into clear, executable work for Engineering and QA.

- Own and prioritize the backlog to maximize customer value, risk reduction, and business outcomes
- Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definitions of Done
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, making clear scope and trade-off decisions
- Prioritize using product usage data, customer feedback, support themes, and revenue impact
- Document prioritization rationale and key product decisions

2. Partner with Engineering, QA, and UX to Ship High-Quality Software

Product Owners at ENFOS are deeply embedded in the development team. Your job is to remove ambiguity, accelerate decisions, and protect quality so the team can ship complex, audit-grade functionality on a predictable cadence.

- Partner with Engineering on solution design, sequencing, dependencies, and technical trade-offs
- Partner with QA on test strategy, regression risk, edge cases, and release readiness
- Partner with UX to simplify complex workflows and validate designs with customers
- Lead story-level discovery, clarify requirements, and break large initiatives into shippable increments
- Own release readiness, including release notes and internal enablement for Customer Success and Support

3. Bring an AI-First Mindset to Product and to How We Work

AI is becoming a core part of both the ENFOS platform and how the product organization operates.

- Help shape AI-native features including assistants, anomaly detection, document intelligence, and intelligent automation
- Define AI acceptance criteria and guardrails, including traceability, evaluation, and human oversight appropriate for audit-grade systems
- Use AI tools daily to accelerate story writing, requirements analysis, customer feedback synthesis, and release communications
- Stay current on relevant AI patterns including LLMs, agents, retrieval, and evaluation frameworks
- Instrument what we ship, define success metrics upfront, and measure post-release outcomes

4. Engage Customers, Business Stakeholders, and Domain Experts

ENFOS supports finance, accounting, and operations leaders at global industrial enterprises in managing Environmental Obligations and accounting requirements.

- Engage customers through interviews, usability sessions, and in-app communications
- Partner with Customer Success, Support, Onboarding, and Sales to validate priorities and convert feedback into product improvements
- Collaborate across Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams and subject-matter experts to ensure regulatory and audit alignment
- Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders

Expectations:

You will be evaluated on:

- Customer and business outcomes delivered by your product area
- Backlog clarity, sprint predictability, and delivery execution
- Product quality, audit defensibility, and AI traceability
- Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, QA, UX, Customer Success, and stakeholders
- Depth of customer understanding reflected in prioritization and trade-off decisions
- Ability to operate independently and make sound decisions with incomplete information
- Effective use of AI to improve team leverage and product capabilities

Requirements

What You'll Need:

- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role within enterprise B2B SaaS or complex business applications
- Proven track record owning backlogs and delivering enterprise software with Engineering, QA, and UX teams
- Strong Agile/Scrum expertise including backlog management, refinement, acceptance criteria, and sprint execution
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear requirements and measurable outcomes

- Demonstrated AI-first mindset and experience using AI tools to accelerate product work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and business audiences

- Comfort working directly with enterprise customers and stakeholders

Preferred

- Experience operating across multiple Scrum teams or coordinating shared dependencies in a platform environment
- Experience in finance, accounting, ERP, GRC, audit, or other regulated enterprise SaaS domains
- Experience shipping AI/ML-enabled features, including evaluation and human-in-the-loop design
