About this role

POSITION SUMMARY

Support Wanner Engineerings warehouse and production operations by receiving purchased materials and products accurately, safely, and promptly. Use ERP system to record receipts against purchase orders, maintain traceability, and route receiving documents for follow-up.

ROLE SCOPE

This is an hourly, individual contributor role supporting accurate receiving, inventory traceability, warehouse operations, and production material flow. The position follows established purchasing, quality, and inventory procedures; escalates discrepancies requiring supervisor or buyer action; and assists other operational areas as business needs require.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect incoming shipments before unloading or receipt, as practical, for visible damage, tampering, or signs of loss in transit. Document and promptly report damage to the supervisor.

Match each delivery to its packing slip and the applicable ERP purchase order. Verify the vendor, PO number, line, item number, description, unit of measure, quantity shipped, and open quantity due.

Check Wanner part numbers and configuration details, including applicable revision or 12-character alphanumeric configuration information, against the purchase order and receiving documents.

Receive items in the ERP system using the companys approved purchase order receiving process. Enter the correct PO and line, packing slip number, quantity, unit of measure, warehouse and receiving location, and other required information.

Record partial receipts accurately. Do not receive more than was delivered or change purchase order details to make a receipt match. Refer quantity, item, price, or other PO discrepancies to the supervisor or buyer for resolution.

Follow Wanners established process for lot-controlled or serialized items. Capture required lot or serial information for serialized pumps, valves, and other designated items; report missing or mismatched identification before completing the receipt.

Identify items requiring inspection, certificates, or other documentation under the purchase order or Wanner procedures. Route them to the designated inspection or hold area and notify Quality or the supervisor. Do not place held material into available stock unless it has been released under the approved process.

Prioritize incoming air shipments and other supervisor-designated urgent material. Process other receipts promptly while maintaining accurate transactions and safe handling.

Manage multiple deliveries by organizing the receiving area, protecting material identification and paperwork, and communicating delays or urgent needs to the supervisor.

Route packing slips and supporting receiving paperwork to Accounting using Wanners established process. Identify discrepancies and missing documents for follow-up.

Move received material from the dock to the correct warehouse location or internal customer, and transport material between the Linden Building and Main Building as assigned. Maintain item identification and handling requirements during movement.

Support cycle counts and inventory investigations by helping locate material and research receiving documentation or ERP system transaction details when requested.

Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and warehouse areas. Use required material-handling equipment and follow traffic rules when traveling between buildings.

Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement, training, and current ISO quality management system requirements.

Assist other departments and perform other duties as assigned.
