About this role

Fielding and Training Support Specialist
The Opportunity:

The Fleet Requirements Liaison and Training Specialist serves as the primary interface between fleet units and the ISEA staff for quotes and requirements for routine equipment-support and yearly coordination. The position receives and triages fleet inquiries figuring out who on staff needs to be involved and working with them to resolve the issue.

The specialist reduces response time for fleet requests to the ISEAs and Project Manager by resolving routine issues at the lowest appropriate level and maintaining visibility of recurring fleet trends. The position provides training on both life-support and non-life-support equipment within the scope of the individual’s qualifications and approved technical documentation.

What You'll Work On:

- Serve as a primary point of contact for fleet units submitting equipment and sustainment inquiries for quotes and additional procurements.
- Work with the ISEAs and Depot Staff to receive, document, prioritize, and track fleet requirements from initial request through final response or referral for both ECPs and new requirements.
- Develop rough-order-of-magnitude estimates, cost estimates, and quote packages for fleet requirements, as authorized.
- Coordinate with depot personnel, logisticians, vendors, engineers, program-office staff, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing, availability, lead-time, maintenance, and technical information.
- Work with parts coordinator to process requests for parts held at NSWC PCD to ensure that the part is as requested and fulfilled within a timely manner.
- Ensure responses to fleet inquiries are accurate, timely, properly documented, and consistent with approved technical data and program guidance.
- Support fleet units in understanding equipment-support processes, maintenance pathways, repair options, supply requirements, and available training resources.
- Support existing and new programs by providing support on travel for discussions on requirements, TTPs, and maintenance where appropriate.
- Conduct site visits to fleet units to assess equipment condition, maintenance practices, training needs, readiness concerns, and recurring sustainment issues on designated equipment.
- Provide hands-on and classroom instruction for approved life-support and non-life-support equipment, maintenance procedures, operational considerations, equipment accountability, and safety requirements.
- Advise on and assist in development, update, and delivery of training materials, job aids, briefs, and practical exercises in accordance with approved technical manuals and program guidance.
- Document fleet engagement results, training completion, identified deficiencies, recurring issues, and recommended corrective actions.
- Analyze fleet inquiry and travel data to identify common problems, training gaps, parts-demand trends, and opportunities to improve program support.
- Support development of briefs, reports, status updates, and read-ahead materials for program-office and resource-sponsor leadership.

You Have:

- Experience supporting military, government, industrial, logistics, maintenance, training, or technical-service organizations on EOD Diving
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders at all levels to respond to customer requirements, technical inquiries, maintenance requests, supply requests, or operational support needs
- Experience preparing estimates, quote requests, work descriptions, or technical-support documentation
- Experience developing and delivering technical training or providing hands-on instruction
- Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals, maintenance procedures, equipment documentation, and safety requirements
- Ability to translate technical information into clear, actionable guidance for fleet personnel
- Ability to organize multiple concurrent requirements, establish priorities, maintain accurate records, and meet response timelines
- Ability to travel to fleet locations, maintenance facilities, and training sites up to 25% of the time
