🩺 What Youll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in health status, and respond to medical needs.
- Complete nursing assessments, document care, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to support continuity of care.
- Promote patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards.
- Deliver compassionate care while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries in a secure environment.
Qualifications
📋 Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama or a compact state that permits practice in Alabama.
- Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it as required.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.
- Commitment to providing professional, compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work the assigned night rotation, including every other weekend.
