About this role
Role: General Manager ( RETAIL )
Location : Carrollton Dallas, TX | Full-time | On-site
Annual base salary: $90,000
Build ACE in the US
ACE was built by collectors, for collectors.
We're opening our first permanent US location in Dallas and looking for a General Manager to own the operation from day one.
This is broader than a traditional retail management role. You'll lead the Dallas site end-to-end - bringing together customer experience, people leadership, card submission and operational excellence, while managing three Field Sales Managers responsible for building ACE relationships with independent card stores across the surrounding market.
You'll have genuine ownership of the business locally, with the opportunity to build the team, shape the culture and help establish how ACE grows in the US.
What You'll Own
- Overall performance and day-to-day leadership of the Dallas location
- An exceptional experience for collectors and customers
- Leadership, coaching and development of the onsite team
- Direct leadership of three Field Sales Managers
- Development of relationships with independent card stores across the Dallas market
- Local sales performance, partnerships and commercial growth
- Card submission, handling, security and chain-of-custody standards
- Operational accuracy, efficiency and compliance
- Workforce scheduling and labor management
- Recruitment, onboarding, performance management and team development
- Opening, closing and overall site standards
- Delivery of ACE brand and service standards across every part of the operation
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who can operate as the leader of a standalone business, not simply manage a store.
- 2+ years of management or leadership experience within retail, service, hospitality or another customer-led environment
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Experience managing multiple functions or areas of responsibility
- Strong commercial judgment and confidence owning business performance
- Experience driving sales, partnerships or local business growth
- Strong operational discipline and attention to detail
- Experience with scheduling, recruitment and performance management
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and making decisions in a growing business
- High levels of ownership, integrity and accountability
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends and events
Trading Cards & Collectibles
Deep grading expertise is not required - we'll train the technical knowledge.
What matters is genuine curiosity and credibility within the category. Experience or interest in trading cards, collectibles, sports or the wider hobby would be a strong advantage.
You should be excited to learn the product, understand the collector and become an authentic ambassador for ACE.
The ACE Standard
We're looking for a General Manager who demonstrates:
- Product & Collector Passion
- Customer Experience Leadership
- Commercial & Brand Leadership
- Operational Excellence
- Relentless Standards
- Trust & Accountability
ACE believes in doing things the right way, even when it's the hard way. As General Manager, you'll set that standard for the Dallas team.
Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site position in Dallas
- Seven-day operation requiring schedule flexibility
- Evening, weekend and event availability will be required based on business needs
- The role requires an active presence across both customer-facing and operational areas of the site
- Some local travel may be required to support Field Sales activity, partnerships and events
Why ACE?
This is an opportunity to join at the beginning.
You'll build the team, own a permanent US operation and help establish ACE within one of the world's most important collectibles markets.
If you're a commercially minded operator, an exceptional people leader and excited by the opportunity to build something rather than simply inherit it, we'd love to hear from you.
ACE is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to legally protected characteristics.
