About this role
The Opportunity
For more than 25 years, Rainier Scholars has opened doors to educational and leadership opportunities for students with the talent and ambition to thrive, but not always the access to do so. Through a rigorous, long-term model that begins in fifth grade and continues through college graduation, Rainier Scholars has helped generations of young people pursue ambitious educational goals, build confidence and community, and expand what is possible for their futures.
Today, Rainier Scholars is poised for an important next chapter. With a respected presence in the Puget Sound region, a deeply committed community of donors and partners, and an Advancement program generating significant annual philanthropic support, the organization has a strong foundation from which to build.
The next Chief Advancement Officer will have the opportunity to bring fresh energy and seasoned leadership to that work: deepening relationships with longstanding supporters, reaching new generations of donors, growing foundation and corporate partnerships, strengthening the systems and strategies that drive fundraising, and helping Rainier Scholars translate its ambitions for the future into philanthropic opportunity.
For an accomplished fundraising leader, this is an opportunity to bring the full breadth of their experience to an organization advancing educational equity and expanding access to the academic, professional, and leadership opportunities with a direct and lasting impact on young people, families, and communities.
