About this role

Job Requirements

- We are looking for a Lead Engineer with deep functional knowledge of FMCG liquid filling lines to work alongside data scientists and engineers in building predictive models and performing data analysis. The ideal candidate translates shop-floor process knowledge into failure modes, key variables, and actionable insights that make predictive models accurate and useful in production. This role bridges process engineering and data science.

Work Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience in FMCG with functional knowledge of liquid filling lines.
- Experience across one or more liquid filling applications is required: liquid detergents, cold drinks/beverages, edible oils, or dairy. Experience in other industries with comparable liquid filling or packaging lines will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of filling line equipment and subsystems, including filling machines (volumetric, gravity, piston, or flowmeter based), capping, labeling, conveyors, CIP/SIP systems, and utilities such as air, vacuum, and steam.
- Ability to identify the process and equipment parameters that drive filling performance and quality, such as fill weight/volume, line speed, viscosity, temperature, foaming, sensor and valve behavior, and changeover timings.
- Experience supporting OEE improvement, reducing downtime and filling losses, and leading root cause analysis (RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone) for line breakdowns and quality defects.
- Interpretation of model outputs and alarms in operational terms, defining failure modes, and knowledge of threshold settings, maintenance actions, and process adjustments based on them.
