Working Student Data Science (x|f|m) 

Join our R&D Innovation Synergies team as a Working Student (x|f|m) and play a key role in advancing the data infrastructure that powers innovative research and development. Working closely with lab scientists and data experts, you will contribute to cutting-edge data engineering initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in data analysis, cloud technologies, and machine learning. Through your work, you will help create the foundation for smarter, data-driven innovation and enable our teams to focus on what matters most: better health for more people.
The position is based in Goettingen, Germany, with a second location option in Bielefeld or Ulm.

As a working student, you benefit in two ways: you gain important work experience and earn some extra money alongside your studies. With a working week of 20 hours, you can continue to concentrate on your studies.

Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities

- Support permanent employees in day to day tasks on a short term basis
- Help build and maintain robust data pipelines, collaborate with team members to design and maintain data models for analysis and reporting
- Support the Data Science and Innovation team with data preprocessing and preparation, enhancing the quality and usability of data for various projects
- Take over of tasks coming up on short notice, mostly administrative
- Contribute to projects by taking over defined work packages

What Will Convince Us

- Currently enrolled in a master's degree program in computational biology, Biotechnology, computer science, data science or a related field
- Working knowledge of  Python programming is required. Familiarity in libraries such as Pandas and scikit-learn is a plus
- Willingness to learn new data analytical technologies
- Ability to integrate into teams easily
- Reliability and accuracy
- Willingness to learn and to act flexible when taking over tasks on short notice
- Fluent in English, German an asset
