Outpayce RND is growing

Outpayce’s R&D division has the mission to provide payment solutions deeply integrated into the reservation/ticketing flow and PCI/DSS products for all Amadeus customers and across all channels.

Amadeus has been investing in travel payments for over 10 years. Today, the Outpayce RND division has teams in Nice, Madrid, London, Erding, Dallas, Bangalore and soon Istanbul.

Main accountabilities

By joining our team, you will have a unique opportunity to participate to the design and the development of a strategical evolution in Outpayce offer. Your deliverables and support will be key in the success of Outpayce  Open platform.

Be involved in the global architecture definition and in charge of the design and delivery of some key components developing new features and technical enhancements with a high degree of quality.

Proficiency in Openshift, Kafka, Jenkins, Helm, and cloud-based technologies (Azure preferred).

- Operational Support: Provide expert support and troubleshooting for Openshift, Grafana, Kafka, Azure (if applicable), Microservices, Jenkins, Groovy scripting, Helm, Repository Management and other cloud technologies in our ecosystem.
- Platform Maintenance: Implement and maintain robust DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and monitoring solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability of data services.
- Incident Management: Respond promptly to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to minimize system downtime and enhance system resilience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, and architects, to design, deploy pipelines and microservices architecture.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, standards, and best practices related to DevOps processes.
- Experience with Microservices architecture and strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, automation tools, and monitoring solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Maintain and optimize

- Troubleshoot and investigate defects raised by our customers to ensure compliance of our products to the specifications and system integrity
- Debug efficiently
- Create and update standardized documentation

Collaborate

- Work closely with Product Management, Technical Business Analysts, Quality Assurance and Global Operations to create and develop high quality code for internal/external customers that works and is consistent with requirements documents
- Collaborate with your fellow team members, to benefit from their knowledge and different backgrounds, and bring your own assets to the team
- Coordinate cross team/cross area development with other teams and developers

We are looking for...

- Bachelors or master’s in computer science or Engineering (Software Development)
- Minimum 9 Years of relevant IT experience
- 3+ years of experience in Cloud
- Good knowledge on Cloud native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Quarkus, OpenShift, Micro services)
- Create scalable microservices of high performance, high availability, interoperability, and reliability

- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Review AI-Generated outputs for accuracy, security, compliance and production readiness.
- Participate to knowledge sharing. Monitor and improve component DevOps KPIs
- Proven experience of building services in cloud.
- Experience in leading group of developers and teams.
- Demonstrates high-level competency in maintaining technical and architectural documents using tools like Confluence or equivalent.

- Able to deliver high quality results in a fast paced, changing environment with shifting priorities

- Contribute designs and technical proof of concepts and adhere to standards and guidance from architecture team members.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages like Oracle, MySQL or NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.

- Maintain timely reports on status of projects, potential technical problems, and any other relevant details.
- Build, improve and modernize CI/CD pipelines to favor velocity and reliability. Ensure built-in quality and security. Help improve software development processes & release workflows through automation.
