The Opportunity
As a Senior Consultant Specialist you’ll design, develop and deploy machine learning and AI solutions aligned to business objectives. The role focuses on taking applied AI from idea to production - shaping use cases, building models and integrating them into services and data pipelines. You’ll work across cross-functional teams to translate business problems into scalable solutions that improve customer and user experiences. Success means reliable models in production with clear performance metrics, monitoring and continuous improvement in place. You’ll also help strengthen engineering standards by contributing to AI architecture, experimentation and software engineering practices.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop and deploy machine learning and AI solutions aligned to business objectives
- Build and optimise models across NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics, recommendation systems and LLM-powered applications
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact use cases and translate business needs into scalable AI solutions
- Develop production-ready APIs, services and data pipelines to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems
- Evaluate model performance, reliability and business impact using appropriate metrics and experimentation frameworks
- Embed MLOps practices for deployment, monitoring, retraining, governance and continuous improvement
- Track emerging AI trends and recommend practical adoption strategies for the organisation
- Mentor engineers and strengthen best practices in AI architecture, experimentation and software engineering
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML.
- Apply strong Python capability and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow and scikit-learn
- Demonstrate a solid grounding in machine learning fundamentals, feature engineering, model evaluation and experimentation
- Build and deploy models on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Apply data engineering fundamentals including SQL and building scalable data pipelines
- Develop applied solutions using LLMs, generative AI, NLP or related approaches
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders to shape requirements and coordinate cross-functional delivery
