About this role

Supply Chain Manager

Den Bosch | 38.75 hours | Permanent

Help build a Supply Chain that delivers on what we promise

Do you have a keen eye for planning, processes and results? Do you enjoy keeping an overview in a dynamic production environment and connecting different departments? Then we are looking for you as our Supply Chain Manager.

About ITAB Benelux

ITAB is a leading player in the European retail interior industry. We design and deliver innovative retail concepts for both national and international retail organisations. You will find our solutions at international airports and in almost every shopping street in the Netherlands.

In addition to retail interiors, we also provide modern checkout systems, customer guidance solutions and retail lighting. We are a supplier to some of Europe’s largest retailers and offer a dynamic working environment with an informal and international culture.

At ITAB, we combine craftsmanship with modern production techniques. In Den Bosch, we work with, among other things, a modern automated woodworking centre, conventional techniques and an assembly department where craftsmanship and expertise come together. This makes our Supply Chain dynamic and varied: from material procurement and planning to production and logistics.

Your role is not a traditional procurement position.

As Supply Chain Manager, you will lead a team of three Operational Buyers and work closely with the Director Operations and the Regional procurement Manager. You will ensure a clear division of responsibilities, set priorities and coach the team in further professionalising the procurement organisation.

The primary responsibility within this role lies with Procurement & Supplier Management. At the same time, you look beyond procurement alone. You understand how decisions within one part of the chain affect the rest of the organisation.

In addition, you are responsible for a broad Supply Chain domain, including procurement, planning, capacity alignment and continuous improvement. You are the connecting link between Sales, Procurement, Planning, Cost Calculation, Engineering, Production and Logistics.

You ensure that commercial agreements are translated into a realistic and achievable Supply Chain and intervene in a timely manner when capacity, material availability, planning or cost price come under pressure.

Your responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

· Responsible for operational and tactical procurement and for further professionalising procurement under the guidance of the regional procurement manager

· Building strong supplier relationships and managing price, quality, delivery reliability and availability.

· Monitoring orders, delivery times and material availability and intervening before supply problems affect production.

Supply Chain Planning & Capacity Alignment

· Translating expected demand and commercial agreements into a realistic production and material plan and achievable delivery times.

· Monitoring priorities, delivery dates, capacity and material availability and making timely adjustments when bottlenecks arise.

· Ensuring good alignment between Sales, Cost Calculation, Engineering, Procurement, Production and Logistics.

Cost Price, Manufacturability & Product Development

· Contributing to customer-specific product development projects from a Supply Chain perspective and advising on material choices, suppliers, manufacturability and cost price.

· Connecting Sales, Cost Calculation, Engineering and Procurement and taking the Supply Chain impact of design and product choices into account.

· Providing input for cost price calculations and carrying out make-or-buy analyses and investigations into alternative materials, suppliers and production options.

Supply Chain Performance & Continuous Improvement

· Monitoring and improving the Supply Chain in terms of delivery reliability, inventory, lead time, costs and capacity.

· Developing and monitoring KPIs and reports and making performance transparent.

· Initiating and managing improvement projects and contributing to the further professionalisation of the Supply Chain.

A role with room to grow

For this position, we consider what you have within you more important than having already done everything. Perhaps you are currently an experienced buyer, senior buyer, supply chain specialist, planner or tactical buyer and feel ready for the next step. You have substantive knowledge, take responsibility and want to develop towards broader Supply Chain responsibility. You do not have to be tomorrow’s Supply Chain Manager today. Above all, we are looking for someone who has the ambition and potential to grow into that role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop in the following areas:

· leadership and coaching;

· planning and capacity alignment;

· supplier development;

· inventory and capacity management;

· strategic Supply Chain challenges;

· process and team improvement.

Management experience is therefore not a requirement. We do expect you to enjoy guiding people, taking responsibility for a team and further developing yourself in this area.

What you bring

· A higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Technical Business Administration or a similar field.

· Approximately 3–5 years of relevant work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning or a similar role.

· You are analytically strong and work in a structured and process-oriented way.

· You have experience with ERP systems, Excel or Power BI.

· You communicate easily in Dutch and English.

· You take ownership, are results-oriented and do not wait for things to happen.

· You can easily switch between different departments and interests and know how to get people on board.

· Experience in the interior construction industry or discrete manufacturing.

· A NEVI qualification or comparable procurement education.

· An affinity with Engineering and product development.

What we offer

· A full-time position of 38.75 hours per week.

· An independent and important role within a growing organisation.

· Plenty of room for your own initiative and responsibility.

· A role in which you work closely with the Director Operations and play an important part in the further development of our Supply Chain.

· An international working environment with an informal atmosphere and an enthusiastic team.

· A competitive salary combined with 24 holiday days and 12 ADV days.

· The possibility of a company bicycle through a lease programme.

· An active employee association with approximately four activities per year.

· Employment conditions in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Interior Construction and the Furniture Industry.

Are you ready for the next step and does this combination of procurement, Supply Chain, planning and improvement appeal to you? Then we would be happy to meet you.
