About this role

About the job

It is an exciting time to join Nordic Semiconductor, as more developers and engineers are building Bluetooth Low Energy, Matter, Wi-Fi, and cellular IoT products using Nordic ICs. As a Developer Advocate, you will join our highly skilled and collaborative Marketing and Developer Experience organization, where you will be responsible for communicating with developers and engineers to help them understand and succeed with Nordic’s solutions.

At the same time, security has become a key requirement for connected products, with new regulations such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) raising the bar for compliance across the industry. While security will be your primary area of focus, you will also contribute across other technical topics, so we are looking for someone with a broad embedded background combined with a strong interest in security.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role that requires experience working with embedded systems, ideally across wireless technologies, firmware, hardware, security, and cloud. You will deep-dive into technical topics and have a strong understanding of how developers build wireless products with Nordic. Your work will involve creating compelling content that helps developers understand and build with Nordic’s solutions and bring end-products to market more easily.

Key responsibilities

- Develop technical content for developers, including courses, videos, webinars, blog posts, and web content, with a focus on IoT security and regulatory compliance.
- Plan and execute the introduction of new security-related features, SDK updates, and tools.
- Simplify and communicate complex technical, security, and compliance topics.
- Develop demonstrators and embedded projects that highlight features and capabilities of our products.
- Represent and advocate for Nordic at tradeshows and seminars through technical presentations and direct engagement with developer communities.
- Work closely with product management, R&D, and security teams, and bring developer feedback back into Nordic.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in embedded development, including the evolving security and regulatory landscape.

Key Qualifications

- BSc/MSc in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Cybernetics, Computer Science, Communication Technology, or related discipline.
- Several years of experience working with embedded systems, preferably with exposure to wireless technologies, firmware, hardware, security, and cloud.
- Strong understanding of embedded development processes and best practices.
- Experience and interest in developing technical content for developers, including videos, webinars, blog posts, and web content
- Familiarity with IoT security regulations and standards, such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act, is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.

Personal Skills

We are looking for a curious, proactive, and engaging communicator who can transform complex technical concepts into compelling content and customer experiences. You take ownership, drive initiatives from concept to delivery, and thrive in a collaborative environment where you work closely with engineers, product teams, and developer communities. With strong presentation and communication skills, you are comfortable representing Nordic on stage and on camera, building relationships with developers, and inspiring others through clear and impactful storytelling. Above all, you have a genuine passion for technology, continuous learning, and helping others succeed.

Working for Nordic

Working at Nordic, you will be inspired and supported to develop yourself. Our teams enjoy a professional and informal working environment. We value and encourage the continuous development of skills and expertise to the highest levels. We are proud of our Norwegian heritage, our highly skilled international workforce, and our world-leading innovation.

We offer a variety of tasks and projects, and the possibility to work alongside some of the world’s most renowned experts within their field. We encourage our employees to question the established and innovate while expecting professionalism, commitment, and the will to learn.
