About this role

Rubberatkins designs and manufactures innovative elastomer and plastic solutions for demanding applications worldwide. We are now looking for an experienced, commercially driven leader to build our semiconductor business line from market entry to a scalable, profitable global operation.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role with the freedom to identify where we can win, secure anchor customers, shape product and qualification priorities, and define the commercial model, routes to market, operating approach, and future team.

What you will achieve

- Set and deliver our semiconductor strategy supported by a focused market-entry plan.

- Identify and prioritise the segments, applications, accounts, geographies, and routes to market with the greatest potential.

- Create and convert a high-quality pipeline across wafer-fab equipment OEMs, subsystem suppliers, foundries, and fab stakeholders.

- Turn complex process challenges into compelling sealing and material solutions that improve reliability, contamination control, uptime, yield, and total cost of ownership.

- Guide product-gap analysis and lead customer qualification, validation, design-in, and production release.

- Take ownership of pricing, margins, contracts, forecasts, investment cases, partnerships, and commercial risk.

- Mobilise cross-functional teams and establish the governance, capability, and future organisation needed to scale.

What will help you succeed

- A strong track record in commercial leadership or business-line development within semiconductor equipment, materials, components, or another process-critical technology.

- Evidence that you have built a new market, product line, or business and translated opportunity into sustainable revenue.

- Credibility and established relationships across semiconductor OEMs, subsystem suppliers, foundries, or fab stakeholders.

- Practical understanding of wafer-fabrication processes and high-performance sealing materials, such as FFKM, or comparable process-critical components.

- Experience navigating long-cycle qualifications, design-in programmes, and distributor or strategic-partner development.

- Strong commercial and financial judgement; experience of profit-and-loss ownership would be an advantage.

- An entrepreneurial, resilient, organised, and collaborative approach. A relevant technical degree, or equivalent industry experience is preferred.

Why join Rubberatkins?

You will have the opportunity to shape a strategically important new business from the outset, with direct access to senior leadership and the backing of experienced technical, engineering, quality, operations, commercial, and finance teams. You will have genuine influence, visible impact, and the scope to build something with lasting value. Our culture is grounded in partnership, integrity, people, excellence, purposeful innovation, and an outstanding customer experience.

Ready to build something exceptional? If you bring semiconductor credibility, entrepreneurial drive, and commercial discipline, and are excited by the opportunity to turn a bold ambition into a successful business, we would love to hear from you.
