Sr. Engineering Services Engineer positions offered by Jabil Inc. ( San Jose, California ). Represent Jabil Engineering Services in technical customer discussions and meetings. Work with Project Managers and Lead Engineers in the quoting process. Provide technical input to help identify and solve project risks that may affect overall project plans and schedules. Support the development and utilization of processes for design/VAVE. Provide a complete design package to be entered into our PDM system consisting of requirements and design documentation, databases, BOM’s, etc. Provide complete VAVE proposals to be submitted to the customer consisting of detailed proposals, models/simulations/schematics, BOM’s etc. Participate in all elements of Engineering Services including design reviews and design verification, supply chain and supplier interaction, transfer to design/manufacturing. Mentor Associate Engineers, or Engineering Services Tech. Provides onsite technical support for all manufacturing builds including engineering prototypes, NPI and production releases. Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive and cost effective.

Minimum Requirements :

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in electronics engineering or a related field.

• Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

- Drafting statements of work and design of experimentation (DOE) for the planning and execution of projects for internal and external customers;
- Operating and programming SMT equipment (MPM/DEK screen printer, Koh Young solder paste inspection, Fuji pick & place, and standard reflow oven) and inspection equipment (Vitrox automated optical inspection, standard 2D X-ray system, and digital microscopes);
- Utilizing Altium software for test board design, Fab3000 software for assembly, and Solidworks software for tooling design/fabrication; and
- Writing technical reports and Design-For-Manufacturing (DFM) documentation.

• In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in electronics engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and demonstrated proficiency in the skillset above.

• Position reports to San Jose, CA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

• Must be willing to travel domestically 25% and internationally 25%.

We are offering a salary of $167,752.

The pay range for this role is $167,752 - $167,752. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
