About this role

Overview

Coming Soon…

Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition will be launching a search for a new Executive Director. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a resident-led, community-based organization and to make a meaningful impact on health and wellness in Mattapan and surrounding Boston neighborhoods. The Executive Director (ED) will play a pivotal role in advancing MFFC’s mission, guiding the organization’s strategic direction, strengthening partnerships across the community, and supporting a dedicated team of staff, youth leaders, and volunteers. The new ED will build on MFFC’s deep community roots while growing and diversifying the resources needed to sustain its programs for years to come.

Founded in 2006 by Mattapan residents, MFFC builds intergenerational leadership within Mattapan’s Black and Brown community to advocate for equitable access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity. The organization accomplishes this through programs such as the Mattapan Square Farmers Market, community fitness and biking programs, youth leadership through its Vigorous Youth program, and resident engagement in shaping a healthier neighborhood.

Interested candidates can contact Mimi Brunelle ([email protected]) with an early email inquiry, or submit a resume via TSNE’s Nonprofit Job Portal. A full position description will be released in the following weeks.
