About this role
Chief Growth Officer
Charlotte, NC (preferred) | Full Time | Executive Leadership | Reports to Chief Executive Officer
Lighthouse Lab Services helps organizations build, operate, optimize, and grow high-performing laboratories. We value collaboration, community, quality, and innovation, and are committed to exceptional service for our clients and the patients ultimately impacted by our work.
Lighthouse has an established laboratory services platform with significant opportunities for organic growth, strategic partnerships, and acquisition integration. The CGO will play a central role in strengthening commercial capabilities, improving coordination across services and markets, protecting existing revenue, and expanding the company's reach and service offerings.
# About the Role
Build and lead an integrated enterprise growth engine that protects current revenue while creating repeatable, profitable organic growth across Lighthouse’s services, markets and strategic adjacencies. The CGO is accountable not only for sales performance, but for market strategy, commercial architecture, strategic accounts, pricing, retention, marketing effectiveness, partnerships, growth analytics and commercialization of new capabilities.
Lighthouse needs to move from a collection of commercial activities and service-line relationships to a disciplined growth system capable of supporting $200M+ revenue. The CGO must be equally credible in a customer meeting, an ELT operating review, a pricing discussion, a Board conversation and a pipeline inspection.
# What You Will Lead
Enterprise Growth Strategy
Translate corporate strategy into clear growth priorities, including target markets, customer segments, service-line priorities, geographic opportunities, channels, new offerings, strategic partnerships, and build, buy, or partner decisions.
Commercial Operating System
Own the commercial operating framework, including CRM discipline, pipeline structure, opportunity qualification, sales stages and processes, forecasting, funnel analytics, win/loss analysis, deal reviews, territory and account rules, and commercial performance metrics.
Organic Growth
Deliver sustainable growth across existing services while developing new growth opportunities. Drive cross-selling and bundled solutions rather than treating each service line as a separate sales opportunity.
Strategic Accounts & Retention
Establish executive-level account ownership, customer health scoring, renewal discipline, account expansion plans, and early-warning mechanisms to identify and address at-risk revenue.
Pricing & Revenue Quality
Partner with Finance and Operations on pricing, margins, cost to serve, contract terms, implementation requirements, and customer economics. Establish deal governance and clear criteria for when to walk away from a deal.
Marketing & Demand Generation
Position Marketing as a measurable growth capability spanning segmentation, demand generation, thought leadership, digital strategy, events, content, lead management, and sales enablement.
Growth Partnerships & Market Development
Develop strategic partnerships with health systems, laboratories, manufacturers, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, technology vendors, and other ecosystem participants where partnerships can accelerate scale or differentiation.
Commercial Talent & Organization
Assess and redesign the commercial organization as needed. Strengthen leadership and sales capabilities while establishing clear roles and accountability across hunters, account managers, market leaders, and Marketing.
M&A Commercialization
Support market and commercial due diligence, evaluate revenue durability and synergies, and lead post-acquisition commercial integration and cross-selling acceleration.
Enterprise Leadership
Operate as an enterprise executive, not solely as a sales advocate. Balance growth ambitions with delivery capacity, cash generation, margins, compliance, and long-term enterprise value.
