Do you enjoy solving technical challenges and seeing your work move from plans and designs to equipment running on the factory floor? Join Ford’s Manufacturing Engineering team and help prepare our plants for new programs, product launches and engineering changes.
As a VME Engineering Technician , you’ll coordinate facilities, equipment and process projects from technical definition through installation, validation and handover to Production. You’ll work across teams and with suppliers to deliver safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing solutions—supporting areas such as Assembly, Paint and Body as project needs require.
- A technical qualification, degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or manufacturing-related discipline.
- Experience or knowledge relevant to manufacturing engineering, facilities, industrial equipment, tooling, automation, project coordination or production processes.
- The ability to read and review technical information such as specifications, drawings, layouts and process documentation.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to follow multiple actions, deadlines and dependencies.
- A practical, analytical approach to resolving technical and production challenges.
- Confidence working collaboratively with different teams, suppliers and contractors.
- A commitment to safe working practices, quality and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to work across different plant areas and support project activities on site; supplier visits may be required.
