Schedule: Fri - Sun 6pm - 4:30am
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00

Job Summary

PrideStaff is seeking a dependable, hardworking Loader for a steel manufacturing and fabrication facility in Knoxville, TN. This position is responsible for safely loading, unloading, moving, and organizing steel materials in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in manufacturing, steel fabrication, warehouse operations, or an industrial setting. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position requiring strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Load and unload steel products, structural materials, and fabricated components from trucks and trailers.

Safely move, stage, and organize steel materials throughout the facility and designated loading areas.

Assist with preparing customer orders and shipments for transportation.

Verify materials against shipping documents, work orders, and loading instructions.

Properly secure and position steel materials to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.

Assist with operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.

Inspect materials for visible damage and report any discrepancies.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe loading and storage areas.

Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping personnel to ensure materials are loaded accurately and efficiently.

Perform additional warehouse and general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

Previous experience in steel manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse loading, or industrial material handling preferred.

Experience working with heavy, oversized, or irregularly shaped materials is a plus.

Forklift or overhead crane experience preferred.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.

Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team.

Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials within established safety guidelines.

Comfortable working around heavy steel materials, industrial equipment, and moving machinery.

Ability to work in a warehouse or industrial environment with varying temperatures.

Must consistently follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures.
