Schedule: 8hr Shift, Tuesday-Saturday

Location: Sherman, TX

The Warehouse Lead provides direction and support to the Warehouse team. Drives compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, such as Safety, Quality, GMP, and CPS.

- Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior.
- Monitors environment and becomes aware of conditions that may affect employee safety and security; takes corrective action.
- Communicates to ensure employees learn and comply with specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies.
- Prepares training plans and conducts or assigns safety, maintenance, machine operation and quality assurance training to new employees.
- Prepares documentation and provides performance feedback to introductory employees.
- Provides feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behavior.
- Ensures employees have required tools, supplies and area to exercise their duties.
- Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
- Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment.
- Other duties and roles maybe assigned by plant management.

- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Qualifications

Required

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience backing, maneuvering, and positioning 53-foot trailers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform basic paperwork and shipping documentation.
- Leadership experience.

Preferred

- Previous Yard Jockey, Yard Spotter, Dock Worker, Warehouse Associate, or CDL Driver experience.
- OSHA Forklift Certification.
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- CDL is not required .

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb in and out of yard trucks and forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and yard-moving equipment throughout the shift.

- Former CDL Driver looking for a local, home-daily position
- Shipping & Receiving Associate with forklift experience
