About this role
Hey!
Imagine amateur football finally had the platform it deserves.
Every weekend, millions of people write their own personal football stories – on pitches, in clubs and on the sidelines. We believe this passion deserves a digital home too.
That's exactly what we're building every single day.
tl;dr
We're looking for someone who turns data into real insights - you'll own our Teamwear partner reporting and lead our Data Squad.
Main information
Start: Immediately Location: Cologne Workload: Full-time Team: Teamwear
Is this a match?
The most important basics – so we both know if it could work.
Location: You can see yourself in our Cologne office (Belgisches Viertel) and are able to come in at least 3 days a week. Experience: You bring 2-5 years of experience in analytics, BizOps, key account or project management and feel confident in the role. Languages are no problem: You speak German and English fluently. You know football: You're genuinely interested in amateur football and have a feel for what moves this community. Startup spirit: You'd rather shape things than just tick boxes - even when that means figuring stuff out without a finished roadmap.
What you'll do - your playing field
This is how you move our mission forward every day.
You're the mind behind our partner reporting. From the monthly update to the quarterly business meeting and the half-yearly market share report - it all comes together with you. You find the story in the data. You work with data on tens of thousands of amateur teams and turn it into insights and recommendations that actually make a difference. You present at management level. You share your results directly with our partner's management - and back your recommendations with confidence. You lead our Data Squad. Together with our working students and mini-jobbers, you set priorities, split the work and make sure the data is clean. You get our Teamwear KR projects over the line. You plan, keep an eye on progress and bring the whole team along. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also:
Prepare ad-hoc analyses and presentations for the Head of Teamwear and the founders Run the weekly Jour Fixe and company reporting for Teamwear Build market analyses for our European expansion
What you bring to the team
We're not looking for a perfect CV. But you should recognise yourself in these points.
Reporting: You've built recurring reporting before - from raw data to a management-ready deck. Data storytelling: You turn numbers into a clear storyline with a recommendation and present it confidently to management. Team coordination: You've led or coordinated small teams, working students or freelancers. Structure: You keep the overview even when lots is going on - and you enjoy bringing all the pieces together. Tools: Google Sheets / Excel at an advanced level (pivots, lookups), Google Slides / PowerPoint, Notion or similar with database logic (tables, joins, filters), AI tools in your daily work Good to know
We want you to know what this role really looks like from day one.
This role is all about data, reporting and coordination - less about strategy consulting. A big part of your month follows a steady reporting rhythm with clear deadlines. If you like that kind of reliability, you'll feel right at home. You'll stand in front of a major brand partner's management and lead a small team at the same time - if both excite you, you're in exactly the right place.
Bonus
Not a must – but this'll definitely earn you extra points.
Experience in sporting goods, teamwear or team sports Basic SQL or a BI tool
