About this role
Leads and manages the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Supervises multiple project teams, offering strategic direction and resolving any issues that may arise during project cycles. Leads the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers. Leads the management of quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. Supervises comprehensive site walks and directs the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and communicates potential impacts to senior management. Oversees the primary point of contact role between the company and colocation providers. Leads the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance and construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications. Leads the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
9 years of experience in construction project management
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of experience in construction project management
OR
Master's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field AND 3 years of experience in construction project management
OR
Doctorate in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field AND 1 years of experience in construction project management.

People Leadership / Management Experience:
3 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
