About this role
The Ultrasound Extern, under the direction of a licensed Sonographer, performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging ordered by the provider. Assists in transporting and preparing patients, cleans and stocks supplies in assigned areas, and assists technologists as needed. This position utilizes Cerner and Hospital Information System (HIS) software programs.
- Required Education: High School Diploma / GED. Letter of recommendation from Sonography Program Director
- Required Experience: Must be a student (entering spring semester) in an Ultrasound program
- Required Certifications and Licensures: BLS certification
