Full-Time Family Assistant
A private family in Winnipeg, near Kenaston and Corydon, is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly organized Family Assistant to provide care for two school-aged children while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the household.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, takes pride in maintaining an organized home, and is comfortable balancing childcare, household management, and meal preparation.
Schedule and Hours
- Hours: 50 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Childcare and Family Support
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for two children who attend school full-time.
- Engage the children in age-appropriate activities during non-school hours.
- Assist with daily routines, including personal hygiene, meals, and sleep schedules as needed.
- Coordinate school drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as transportation to extracurricular activities.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment for the children.
Household Management and Organization
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized home through regular housekeeping.
- Handle household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothing and linens.
- Change bed linens and maintain bedrooms and common areas.
- Load and unload the dishwasher and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
- Manage household garbage and recycling.
- Complete grocery shopping and other household errands.
- Provide routine pet care.
- Monitor household needs and help ensure the home runs smoothly and efficiently.
Meal Preparation
- Plan and prepare family meals as required.
- Prepare and pack school snacks for the children.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen before and after food preparation.
Compensation:
Salary: Up to $100, 000 gross per annum + Transportation Allowance + Health Benefits.
Requirements
Driver's license and own vehicle, preschool/School Age Experience, Skilled in General Household Management, Comfortable in the kitchen, Pet Friendly, Excellent time management skills, Strong organizational skills.
