About this role

We are looking for a highly driven Sr Staff Technical Program Manager ( TPM) to support complex robotics development programs within Prototype Operations. This role operates at the center of engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, test, quality, and repair to drive execution across a fast-paced, high-mix hardware development environment.

In this highly cross-functional role, you'll be responsible for driving prototype and low-volume production builds from planning through integration, working side-by-side with build technicians, engineers, and leadership to identify risks, remove blockers, and maintain build velocity. You will serve as the connective tissue between technical execution and program-level deliverables, making real-time decisions and escalating when needed to keep the team moving.

We are looking for a highly technical, systems-oriented leader who thrives in ambiguity, can operate independently, and has a demonstrated ability to build and scale operations in rapidly evolving hardware environments.

How you will make an impact:

- Own complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple R&D programs, establishing strategies, execution plans, milestones, and cross-functional alignment.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to ensure hardware, processes, resources, and infrastructure are ready to support evolving program needs.
- Identify operational gaps and develop integrated workflows, tools, and systems that improve execution, traceability, and efficiency.
- Translate evolving technical requirements into executable operational plans, balancing development speed, quality, and scalability.
- Identify systemic risks and dependencies, lead root-cause investigations, and implement sustainable solutions across organizational boundaries.
- Define meaningful KPIs and management mechanisms to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate tradeoffs, communicate risks, and drive alignment among engineering, operations, and senior leadership.
- Develop repeatable processes and operating models that support increasing hardware complexity, program volume, and organizational growth.
- Champion operational clarity and execution discipline while fostering a high-performance, team-first culture on the floor.

You bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, manufacturing operations, or related technical environments.
- Experience leading cross-functional programs in complex hardware environments such as robotics, aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing operations, including demand planning, MRP, supply chain, inventory management, work orders, and production execution.
- Experience with ERP, MES, and PLM systems and understanding how processes, data, and transactions connect across the operational lifecycle.
- Proven ability to identify systemic gaps, develop scalable operational processes, and drive cross-functional improvements.
- Strong program management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to independently drive execution in ambiguous environments.
- Hands-on mindset, comfortable working closely with engineers, technicians, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience implementing or improving ERP, MES, MRP, or PLM systems (e.g., Tulip, Arena, Rootstock, Oracle, SAP).
- Experience with prototype, NPI, and low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
- Experience developing integrated workflows across engineering changes, BOMs, material planning, inventory, and manufacturing execution.
- Experience scaling operations, improving build readiness, and driving operational process improvements.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project).
