SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This job position is responsible for ensuring the security of the facility. Employee will be responsible for handling of access to and from the facility as well as maintain a safe and secure area. Employee will be responsible to diffuse difficult situations between employees to the best of their abilities without putting themselves in the line of danger and notify Location Manangment. Employee will be tasked with conducting patrols of the facility as well as documenting operational conditions of the facility by completing log sheets.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrol premises to prevent and deter inappropriate activity around the facility.
- Patrol premises to detect potential safety concerns around the facility as well as potential safety violations by employees.
- Answer calls for assistance by HR and other department heads for removal and/or escorting of unruly employees and visitors.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons to ensure only authorized individuals are accessing the facility.
- Notify the proper individuals or authorities (fire, police, etc.) in case of emergencies or presence of illegal activity.
- Prevent employees from entering unauthorized areas during work hours. (i.e. employees are allowed to vehicles during off the clock lunches only, not during break periods).
- Verify parking passes are present and on the correct vehicles.
- Notify manager and/or HR in regard to any suspicious activity observed by or between employees.
- Complete and drop off a written daily activity report at the end of every shift.
- Secure the field/line truck entrance upon the completion of shipping/receiving to force access to the facility through one gate. Open field/line truck gate at predetermined time on a daily basis.
- Walk the premises on a regular basis to observe certain operating conditions around the facility and document those conditions according to the log sheet.
- Maintain a safe and secure facility.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bilingual English & Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to read/write in English
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
- High School Diploma

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged standing
- Ability to walk for long periods of time
- May be required to occasionally lift up to 50 LBS

- Work performed outdoors in degrees at times in excess of 90 degrees
