Job Overview
XPECT Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager (Mid) to support our customer's Finance and Facilities Division (FFD), Accounting & Technology Section (ATS) Business Intelligence (BI) Suite Operations & Maintenance program. The positon will be working at our customer's facility located in Washington, DC. The BI Suite supports financial reporting and data warehousing on an AWS cloud platform. The QA Manager leads the program’s testing and quality assurance function: maintaining and expanding the automated regression testing framework, planning and executing system, integration, and regression testing for Problem Reports (PRs) and Change Requests (CRs), supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and reporting test results and defect status to ATS system teams and Government leads.
Core Responsibilities
- Carry out QA procedures to ensure BI Suite information systems, products, and services meet ATS standards and end-user requirements.
- Maintain the existing catalog of automated test tools and test cases, and develop new automated test cases for changes associated with Problem Reports (PRs) and Change Requests (CRs).
- Expand automated regression testing coverage across BI systems, capabilities, and data combinations; plan and execute automated test sequences on a schedule agreed with the Government.
- Perform and lead system, integration, regression, and performance testing in accordance with approved test plans to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects; create test data as needed.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by working with stakeholders, answering questions, and helping develop UAT test cases and scripts; ensure operational defects found in UAT are resolved before production release.
- Track, document, and drive resolution of defects in the client's defect tracking system; report problem-resolution progress to management against Government-defined severity timelines.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and documented test results for Government review and approval, with traceability to requirements and change records.
- Communicate automated testing results clearly to ATS system teams and provide test coverage, regression, and performance testing inputs to the Monthly Progress Report.
- Perform complex workflow analysis, recommend quality improvements, and devise improvements to current QA procedures in support of the program Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
- Serve as an information resource on assigned areas for technical writers and other QA staff; support year-end mock testing, year-end processing, and disaster recovery exercises.
Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, demonstrated on multiple complex work assignments.
- Experience performing and leading system, integration, and regression testing, including creating test plans, test cases, and test data and documenting results.

- Experience tracking and resolving defects in an Agile delivery environment.
- Ability to work full-time onsite at our customer's facility in the National Capital Region (telework not authorized without prior Government approval)
Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications

- Test automation experience using Selenium and/or Python.
- Familiarity with AWS data services such as Amazon Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, and Lambda.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
