The core responsibilities of this role include: monitoring and dispatching in a time-efficient and cost-effective manner and transmitting any concerns or issues to the Customer Service Manager.
Position: Dispatcher
Shift: Friday-Monday 8:00 PM- 4:00 AM (overtime may be required)
Pay: $20/hr.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:
- 2+ years of customer service, dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service through professional, timely, and solution-oriented communication.
- Experience managing customer inquiries, service exceptions, and escalations while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, drivers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to provide accurate service updates and set clear expectations regarding deliveries, delays, and issue resolution.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills with the ability to independently resolve operational challenges.
- Experience utilizing dispatch, tracking, and transportation management systems, including E-Courier or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of routes, service areas, and dispatch operations to support timely and cost-effective service.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, data entry, documentation, and system navigation.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams to resolve service issues and meet customer commitments.
- Demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and commitment to regular attendance and operational excellence.
