Job Summary

Culpepper & Associates Security Services is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to work at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Community-Based Outpatient Clinic located at 55 W Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH

Employment Status

Full-time positions available, Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Hourly Wage : Base $17.01 + $4.57 Health & Welfare up to 40 hours/week ( $21.58 per hour).

Job Description

As a Security Officer, working in a clinical environment, you will serve and safeguard the United States Veterans Affairs property and their customers. Security Officers are responsible for the surveillance of the clients healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. Security Officers also provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

- Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

- Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients, and family members.

- Continuous monitoring for signs of unusual activity.

- Reporting any security breaches or illegal activity.

- Conducting routine security checks to prevent theft or damage.

- Responding to fire alarms and other emergencies.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a criminal background investigation, physical and drug screening in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. All at company expense.

Qualifications

- Valid State of Ohio Security Guard License

- High School Diploma or GED

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Professional appearance and demeanor

- Ability to write basic reports and documentation

- Previous security officer, unarmed guard, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred
