Job Purpose

To ensure the design, development and maintenance of real-world business focussed Web developments and other developments as per agreed plans and targets for all Marketing/Brand and HR websites in line with Premier best practises and requirements

Key Responsibilities

To ensure the delivery of real-world scalable web site solutions that add value to the business by :

- Scoping development requirements from customer briefs

- Liasing with third parties to ensure delivery of design element
- Ensure delivery of development elements as per agreed plans
- Incorporate design elements into agreed web platform
- Coordinate user testing and improvements in collaboration with the Security team
- Prepare solution for launch in line with agreed project plan

To drive CI on existing website and solutions to reduce technical debt and optimize solution

performance and maintainability by:

- Continuously enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and stability of existing systems and
- Ensuring that systems remain maintainable, efficient, and adaptable to future needs and
- Identifying and mitigating possible security vulnerabilities
- Optimizing development workflows through scrum methodologies
- Automating processes and solutions.

To support change and knowledge management of solutions by:

- Mapping/ planning the release process
- Communicating with relevant stakeholders
- Tracking and reporting on process metrics
- Entrenchment of learnings for future projects
- Ensure corrective action based on customer feedback and changing business requirement

Build and maintain productive cross functional relationships to support project execution and

service delivery by:

- Attend Invocoms and project meetings as when required
- Escalate issues to manager as needed
- Implement project tasks as delegated
- Liase with agencies and suppliers to ensure execution of design elements for web pages
- Checking performance of agencies and supplier against agreed scope of work and standards

To guide and advise the IT team on web development best practises and standards by:

- Staying abreast with industry and technological changes
- Advising on opportunities for improvement
- Attending ongoing professional development as required
- Sharing of learning with the IT Platform and Development team

Support fact-based decision making by through ongoing reporting and analytics by:

- Producing standard weekly web development progress reports
- Providing website analytics and user experience feedback as and when required
- Providing maintenance support reports in terms of compliance to security patch deployments
- Assist with tools for website usage and analytical tools to provide feedback to customers and the business about continuous improvement opportunities

Experience and Qualifications

- Software development experience delivering enterprise-grade web applications using code 5-8 years (Essential)

- Strong C#, ASP.NET Core MVC and SQL Server development skills 3-4 years (Essential)
- Umbraco CMS development experience 3-4 years (Essential)
- Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts and Azure DevOps experience 2-3 years
- Git source control, pull-request workflows and CI/CD pipelines 2-3 years (Essential)
- Docker and containerised application deployment 2-3 years (Essential)
- Agile Development Methodology 2-3 years (Essential)
- Experience deploying and supporting production systems 1-2 years (Desirable)
- Formal course in Coding languages eg.NET, (MVC, CMS), SQL, HTML (Essential)
