Who are we?

MAXIS GBN was co-founded in 1998 by MetLife and AXA, two of the largest and most trusted insurance

companies in the world. In 2016, MAXIS GBN became a joint venture and established itself in London with offices at Monument where we employ an international team of over 100 staff, with another 90 based in eight countries around the world.

At MAXIS GBN, we work with multinational companies to help them deliver employee benefits (EB) to their staff around the world. We are a market leader in the global EB space, offering global pooled and captive solutions as well as comprehensive wellness programs.

We do this through working with a network of local insurance companies (members) in more than 100 markets across the globe. More than 60% of our member insurers are owned by MetLife or AXA, the other 40% are independent local insurers – all are experts in their markets and help us to find the right solutions for the local offices of multinationals and their employees based there.

Our London headquarters houses support services from global marketing to finance to client reporting and underwriting while working with colleagues based in offices in locations across Europe, the USA and Asia.

Summary of Responsibilities:

This is an IC role who will own integration design and delivery for a newly formed product and systems function. Every data flow between our core systems will run through Boomi, and you will build that foundation from scratch, including the migration and retirement of our existing Jitterbit integrations. You will recommend architecture and set the quality bar for every integration, so you need sound design judgement and the ability to explain your reasoning clearly to non-technical colleagues. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. We will fund Boomi certification and onboarding in your first six months.

Responsibilities

- Define integration architecture, patterns and standards, and recommend the right design for each requirement

- Lead the Jitterbit-to-Boomi migration: inventory, prioritise, rebuild, test, cut over, decommission

- Build and maintain Boomi integrations across Salesforce, underwriting and reinsurance platforms, our Azure data warehouse and our client and member web portals

- Write integration requirements and data-mapping specifications

- Write and run SIT test scripts

- Set up monitoring, alerting and error handling, and resolve integration incidents

- Document every integration and data flow

- Work with third-party vendors and implementation partners on integration delivery

Re quirements

H ard skills

- 3-5 years of hands-on integration experience on an iPaaS or middleware platform (Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato , Informatica, SnapLogic , Azure Integration Services or similar), including at least 2 years in production

- Strong REST/SOAP API, JSON/XML and data-mapping skills

- Salesforce integration experience

- Experience writing integration requirements and test scripts

- Production support and root-cause analysis

Soft skills

- Self-starter, comfortable building from a blank page

- Sound design judgement: weighs options and recommends one

- Clear communicator who can explain technical trade-offs to non-technical colleagues

- Ownership and drive: sees things through to production

- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage different workstreams.

Desirable

- Boomi experience or certification

- Experience migrating between integration platforms (Jitterbit a plus)

- Insurance, reinsurance or financial services background

- Azure data platform experience

- SFTP/file-based and legacy system integration
