About this role

### Great engineers write code. Exceptional ones own what happens after it ships.
Anyone can push a feature to production. The real test is what happens next: when traffic spikes, when an edge case surfaces at 2 a.m., when a client’s business depends on your system staying fast, secure, and available. At Techdome, that’s the kind of engineering we care about.
We build production-grade platforms for clients across a wide range of industries, including FinTech, Healthcare, E-commerce, SaaS, Logistics, and EdTech. Every product is different, but the standard is the same: reliable, secure, and built to scale. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who designs, builds, and runs systems with Node.js, React, MongoDB, and TypeScript, and who takes lasting ownership of how they perform.

What You’ll Own

- Features from first sketch to long-term health: Lead design, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance, staying accountable well past the release date.
- APIs and applications built to last: Engineer secure, scalable, thoroughly tested services that hold up under real-world load.
- The quality bar for the team: Run thoughtful code reviews and champion the engineering standards that keep our systems dependable.
- Production, when it matters most: Jump into incidents directly, restore service fast, and drive root-cause analysis so issues don’t repeat.
- Technical direction: Contribute to architecture and the key decisions that shape how our platforms evolve.
- The growth of those around you: Coach and mentor engineers, helping the whole team level up.
- Seamless collaboration: Partner with product, design, QA, and DevOps, working hands-on with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and observability tools.
- Adapting across domains: Quickly understand each client’s business, users, and constraints, and turn them into the right technical solutions.

### What Success Looks Like
In your first 30 days, you’ll get familiar with our codebases, delivery process, and team, and ship your first meaningful contribution. By 60 days, you’ll own a feature or service end to end and be an active voice in code reviews and technical discussions. By 90 days, you’ll be a trusted engineer on a core client product, confident in production, and helping guide the engineers around you.

What You Bring

- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong command of Node.js, React, MongoDB, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid grounding in REST API design, database architecture, authentication and authorization, testing, and application security.
- A track record of running production applications at scale, not just building them.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Comfort with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and production monitoring and debugging.
- Exposure to multiple industries or product types, and the ability to get up to speed on a new domain fast.
- Proven team leadership and a history of taking ownership when it counts.

Bonus Points

- Depth in system design, distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with compliance and security standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, or SOC 2.
- Familiarity with third-party integrations like payment gateways (Stripe, Braintree, Adyen), CRMs, or analytics platforms.
- Experience at a consultancy or product studio, supporting multiple clients and products at once.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.

Why Techdome?

- Bootstrapped and profitable: No investor pressure, no growth-at-all-costs mandates. We build for the long term.
