Reporting to the Director, Category Leadership & Consumer Insights, the Category & Planogram Analyst plays a key role in translating category insights, shopper behaviour, and retail strategies into actionable assortment, merchandising, and planogram solutions.
The role supports Convenience category leadership for national and regional & Gas (C&G) customers while owning planogram development and maintenance for Arterra Wines Canada's (AWC) owned retail network. About You
You are an analytical, detail-oriented category professional who enjoys turning data and shopper insights into practical retail solutions. You understand how assortment, shelf space, and merchandising influence shopper behaviour and category performance, and you take pride in developing accurate, effective, and visually compelling planograms.
You are equally comfortable working with data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging directly with retail customers. You are organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects and competing deadlines without losing sight of the details.

· Turn Category Insights into Action: Leverage sales performance, shopper insights, market trends, and category analytics to develop actionable recommendations that help retail customers optimize assortment, improve merchandising, and drive category growth. Prepare clear, compelling category reviews and customer presentations.
· Develop Customer Assortment and Planogram Solutions: Create and maintain data-informed wine planograms tailored to C&G customers, incorporating shopper behaviour, category performance, merchandising principles, and retailer requirements. · Coordinate Planogram Execution: Collaborate with Retail Operations and other internal stakeholders to communicate planogram updates, coordinate implementation, and support effective in-store execution. Work with third-party planogram agencies when required, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
· Champion Planogram Expertise and Best Practices: Serve as the team's planogram subject matter expert and software power user, supporting internal stakeholders with planogram development, technical guidance, and merchandising best practices. Help translate category recommendations into practical, retail-ready schematics.
· Drive Process Improvement and Collaboration: Contribute to the development of merchandising guidelines, planogram standards, and tools that improve consistency and efficiency. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen collaboration with internal teams and external partners, and continuously improve planogram development and execution.
