Mortenson is hiring an Equipment Supervisor – Solar Industrialization to oversee the transition of innovative equipment solutions from pilot concepts into safe, reliable, scalable fleet assets. This role engages early in the pilot phase; guides design, engineering, validation, and field readiness; and leads final deployment and adoption across the Solar group. Solution Development, Piloting & Commercialization

- Engage during concept development and pilot planning to ensure proposed solutions address field needs, operating conditions, constructability, safety, maintainability, and fleet requirements
- Partner with Industrialization, Engineering, Operations, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, project teams, OEMs, and technology providers to guide design development and commercialization
- Define pilot objectives, success criteria, test plans, field feedback loops, and readiness gates for progression from prototype to production deployment
- Translate pilot results into design improvements, operating standards, training requirements, maintenance plans, spare-parts strategies, and deployment recommendations
- Coordinate design reviews, validation testing, documentation, and final acceptance of equipment before release to the Solar fleet
- Support business cases and commercialization plans, including cost, productivity, utilization, reliability, scalability, and return-on-investment considerations

Deployment, Fleet Integration & Adoption

- Lead equipment launch planning, mobilization, commissioning, and field implementation across Solar projects
- Establish deployment playbooks, standard work, operator qualifications, training materials, and support models that enable consistent adoption
- Coordinate with project and operations leaders to identify deployment opportunities, sequence equipment releases, and align resources with project demand
- Monitor utilization, productivity, reliability, user feedback, maintenance needs, and total cost of ownership after deployment

- Ensure equipment documentation is complete and controlled, including drawings, manuals, inspection criteria, maintenance requirements, parts lists, and training records
- Partner with Safety and Quality teams to investigate incidents, defects, and recurring performance issues and drive corrective actions
- Maintain clear readiness criteria so equipment is not released broadly until safety, quality, reliability, and support expectations are met

Commercial Partnerships, Licensing & Lifecycle Management

- Support sourcing, supplier selection, production-readiness reviews, and commercial negotiations with OEMs and technology providers
- Partner with Mortenson legal, commercial, procurement, engineering, and leadership teams on licensing arrangements, field-of-use requirements, intellectual property considerations, product changes, support obligations, and deployment rights
- Coordinate the transfer of production-ready designs, specifications, testing requirements, training content, and quality expectations to external manufacturing or licensing partners
- Monitor partner performance, product quality, supply continuity, service support, and compliance with agreed commercialization requirements
- Track fleet utilization, operating cost, asset performance, repair-versus-replace decisions, and equipment lifecycle plans
- Recommend scale-up, redesign, retirement, or broader commercialization based on field data and business results
