About this role
Who We Are
Creative Spirit Counseling is a private practice in Fargo, home to a team of out-of-the-box thinkers who believe every client’s path to healing is their own. We serve clients across North Dakota and Minnesota.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring health, hope, and healing to our community by offering a space where people can show up exactly as they are. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity and worth. So rather than fitting people into a single model, we build an approach around each individual. Thought, care, creativity, and humor are part of how we heal. Diagnosis informs our work, but the relationship leads it.
The Internship
Interns join a holistically minded team. They build clinical skills in trauma, anxiety, and attachment-informed care, with room to explore creative interventions. Placement includes:
- Weekly individual supervision with an Approved Clinical Supervisor
- Direct client work matched to your readiness, with a caseload that grows over the placement
- Hands-on training in diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
- Team meetings and case consultation
Interns who finish their placement in good standing may have an opportunity to continue with CSC as pre-licensed clinicians while pursuing licensure.
Who Thrives Here
- You’re curious about trauma, anxiety, and attachment, and eager to deepen those skills
- You ask questions freely and bring your hardest cases to supervision
- You welcome feedback and are willing to look at how your own story shows up in the room
- You’re self-directed between supervision sessions and invested in the team around you
- You’re grounded in the ethics and values of your profession
Eligibility
We welcome interns from CSWE-accredited social work programs and CACREP-accredited counseling programs. Placement requires an affiliation agreement between your program and CSC.
