Position Summary:
60% - Operations: The Production Manager partners with the Operations Manager in supervision of the fleet, production and quality control of RTG, facilities, and our Safety program. This position strives to achieve customer: satisfaction, productivity, product development, quality, and cleanliness.
20% - Safety : In addition to the daily production of the shop and yard, the Production Manager will work to eliminate or control any hazardous conditions created from a variety of issues to create a safe working environment. They will also be responsible for training, inspecting, and overseeing corrections.
20 % - Technology: Efficiencies and system integration into our day-to-day activities is an important aspect to our recent success; and it is ever growing. The Production Manager must be willing and able to implement and develop these efficiencies and have communication with the Operations Manager in facilitation of existing and future technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fleet Management:
- Manage inventory in the yard using the barcode system for trailers.
- Handle the reconciliation of deliveries and returns.
- Check and repair plastic as needed.
- Manage VAP Inventory – Check quality and quantity to maintain both.
- Manage supply inventory- conduct weekly checks on commonly used items.
RTG Production Management:
- Manage the vendors; provide work direction, oversight, and quality checks.
- Implement and sustain 5S practices.
- Responsible for quality control of all units and equipment.
- Responsible for the RTG checklist, reconciliation, and accountability.
- Manage the inbound & outbound inspection process.
- Report all damage rebilling to the Operations Manager
Safety:
- Conduct all weekly Toolbox Talks with yard team.
- Conduct periodic safety inspections, oversee corrections, educate when necessary.
- Manage SDS Updates Right to Know policies
Facilities:
- Organize the shop and all supplies and tools.
- Oversee shop and yard housekeeping.
- Manage daily 5S and clean up.
- Manage weekly deep cleaning process.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision of All Yard Staff & Yard Supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- This position requires a Bachelors degree plus 5+ years of experience in the Mobile Office, rental industry; or equivalent
- Proven leadership and managerial skills.
- Experience recruiting and developing employees.
- Experience in a rental or leasing business with repeat customers desired.
- Skill in conducting and documenting inquiries, investigations, audits, and reviews.

Physical/Mental Demands:
Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines. This position requires the ability to perform duties using both typical office equipment such as computers, cell phones, and printers as well as the ability to communicate and perform tasks in a construction/workshop environment.
