House Manager – Full-Time (2 Open Positions)

5 Star Cares is looking for two dependable, motivated House Managers to lead our amazing team of CNAs and help keep our group homes running smoothly!

At 5 Star Cares, we support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living meaningful, fulfilling lives at home and in their communities. Our person-centered approach focuses on dignity, independence, and quality of life.

We provide 24-hour nursing support to individuals with moderate to complex medical needs, including feeding tubes, ventilator care, TPN, and diabetes management. Our residential settings offer individualized support, with staffing ratios generally around 1:6.

What You'll Do

- Oversee daily group home operations and help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

- Supervise and support CNAs and other residential staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.

- Monitor staff attendance, performance, and compliance with agency policies and procedures.

- Coordinate daily services and ensure residents receive appropriate, person-centered support.

- Keep resident and personnel files accurate, complete, organized, and up to date.

- Schedule and conduct required staff in-services, meetings, and training.

- Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and completing new-hire paperwork.

- Communicate effectively with clinical teams, families, state agency representatives, and agency leadership.

- Coordinate appointments, transportation, hospitalizations, and changes in services as needed.

- Monitor home cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and emergency preparedness.

- Ensure required documentation, incident reports, and administrative assignments are completed on time.

- Attend required meetings, trainings, and agency events.

- Participate in on-call duties and respond to operational needs as required.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

- High school diploma or GED.

- Current, valid CNA certification.

- At least two years of supervisory, leadership, or management experience, including at least one year in a group home or residential care setting.

- Valid driver's license.

- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

- Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate electronic records.

- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Dependable, professional, team-oriented, and comfortable holding staff accountable.

- Ability to complete Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening and meet applicable employment requirements.

Certifications and Training

- Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain and maintain them as required.

- Willingness to complete required behavioral support, de-escalation, and agency-specific training.
