We have an immediate opportunity for a Part-time Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver in our Little Ferry, NJ location!
BioTrans Logisitics is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.
Job Highlights:
Sunday night - Monday morning (12:00 am - 4:00 am) Receive & Sort / Help load.
Tuesday night - Wednesday morning (11:00 pm-6:00 am) Receive & Sort / Help Load
Friday 9:00 am Hub Cleaning / Truck Washing / drop off & pickup for scheduled maintenance and possible airport deliveries.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- General warehouse duties, clean, wash and sanitize truck's, assist with sorting and scanning of crates for driver route's
- Driver Duties
- Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van.
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to navigate surrounding areas using GPS and comfortable with scanning devices.
- Comfortable climbing into and out of vehicles repeatedly with no difficulties.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers).
- Clean, wash and sanitize assigned vehicles.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting.
- Extended periods of sitting.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements and Employee Expectations
- Must be at least 21+ years of Age
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years for insurance purposes).
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
- Ability to use smartphones and willingness to learn our company’s workflow-related applications
- Basic computer, tablet and/or smartphone skills and GPS and other routing systems
- Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude
- Communication proficiency - Able to follow verbal and written directions
- Must NOT be restricted for access on military bases and government facilities
