Full Stack Software Developer - Hybrid OR Remote

This role is a hybrid opportunity for candidates to work in office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from our Seattle, San Francisco, or Detroit offices and work remotely all other days . We can consider highly qualified candidates on a remote only basis who reside outside of these three areas.

Redfin’s Rental Team is currently seeking a mid level Full-Stack Software Developer. The Rentals Team is responsible for building features that empower a user’s rental search journey. Our team develops on the Rental Details Page and the Search map, two of the highest traffic page types for Redfin.com. Our full-stack team builds highly visible consumer facing UI as well as robust data ingestion pipelines and data services. - High impact and high visibility. We develop and maintain the highest visibility pages on redfin.com. Our work serves millions of customers daily and is the essential top of the funnel for Redfin’s businesses.
- Full Stack Full Ownership. We own our features from end to end. We build the pipelines to get data into databases all the way to the UI a user sees.
- Performance is critical. Because our features attract so much traffic, everything we develop must meet strict performance criteria. We dictate performance initiatives and best practices for the rest of the company because we have the most expertise and experience.

About the role

- You will develop responsive, resilient, scalable, and high-quality software using React-JS, Java, AWS, and various other tools/libraries.
- You will leverage AI to develop solutions, innovations, and efficiencies as we move to an AI first development mindset.
- You will balance the trade-offs between complex infrastructure investments and quick, pragmatic solutions to meet specific business needs.
- You will collaborate with other engineering and product stakeholders to define, design, and develop projects, while also collaborating with your team as both a contributor and a feature lead.

About you

- You have 3+ years of professional full stack software development experience specifically in ReactJS and Java.
- You have hands on experience developing and leveraging AI for software efficiencies in a professional capacity
- You have a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
- You have an ownership mindset and understand how to overcome hurdles to deliver high impact features
- You are comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity.  You know how to make recommendations, create solutions, and drive the outcome.
- You have exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.

On-Call Expectations  
This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $139,100.00-$170,100.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
