CHEVY A TECHNICIAN (Up to $15k Sign On Bonus)

Job Purpose:
- As a top-tier master automotive technician at Ron Marhofer Automall Group, a Northeast Ohio dealership group, the purpose of this role is to deliver expert diagnostics and repairs across all vehicle systems while mentoring junior technicians and upholding factory repair standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead as Shop Leader, mentoring junior technicians to foster their professional growth and development.
- Diagnose and repair complex engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and diesel systems with precision and expertise.
- Perform thorough multi-point inspections to ensure comprehensive vehicle evaluations.
- Provide accurate labor estimates to facilitate transparent customer service.
- Complete precise documentation to maintain detailed records of repairs and diagnostics.
- Ensure all repairs meet factory specifications to uphold the highest quality standards.

Key Skillset Requirements

Master Technician

$15,000

30 Days: 25% of Bonus

6 Months: 25% of Bonus

12 Months: 50% of Bonus (Long-term retention milestone)

Master ASE / OEM Certified, advanced drivability/electrical diagnostics, heavy engine/transmission tear downs.

A-Level Technician

$9,000

30 Days: 25% of Bonus

6 Months: 25% of Bonus

12 Months: 50% of Bonus (Long-term retention milestone)

*Paid the 15 th of month following tier completion

ASE Certified (multiple test areas), complex mechanical & electrical diagnosis, major component repair.

B-Level Technician

$5,000

Or equivalent in non-taxed Tool Allowance

30 Days: 25% of Bonus

6 Months: 25% of Bonus

12 Months: 50% of Bonus (Long-term retention milestone)

Steering/suspension, brakes, air conditioning, general mechanical repairs, light electrical troubleshooting.

C-Level Technician

$2,500

Or equivalent in non-taxed Tool Allowance

30 Days: 25% of Bonus

6 Months: 25% of Bonus

12 Months: 50% of Bonus (Long-term retention milestone)

Maintenance, flushes, basic brake service, tires, oil changes, assisting B/A techs on larger jobs.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education:
- Associate degree or completion of accredited Automotive Technology program
- Ongoing manufacturer-specific and factory training certifications

Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years professional automotive repair experience
- ASE Certification and Manufacturer Certification
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems

Preferred Experience:
- Dealership-level experience leading a shop or mentoring technicians
- Advanced diesel engine repair experience
- Multi-brand manufacturer certifications across domestic and import vehicles

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Maintain ASE certifications A1-A9 (Engine, Transmission, Drive Train, Suspension, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, Engine Performance, Light Vehicle Diesel Engines)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to operate manual/automatic vehicles
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
