Key Responsibilities

- Funder Pipeline & Relationship Management: Partner with the Director to prospect, qualify, and cultivate strategic relationships with target public, private, and philanthropic funders across the health sciences sector.

- Proposal & Pitch Development: Co-develop comprehensive grant applications, private capital pitches, and philanthropic funding proposals aligned with MaRS Health Sciences priorities.

- Strategy & Ecosystem Alignment: Develop BD strategies alongside teams like Strategy & Product Development, providing market feedback to refine products and services to best resonate with ecosystem needs.

- Account Management & Partner Delivery: Act as Account Manager for strategic partnerships, serving as the primary point of contact, overseeing delivery, leading renewals, and collaborating closely with Ventures & Partner Services to advise partners on sector engagement.

- Real Estate & Tenant Collaboration: Work directly with the Real Estate team to engage new and prospective tenants, building novel partnership frameworks and integration pathways for incoming health ventures.

- International Delegation Hosting: Host and brief visiting international delegations, designing executive site programs to highlight portfolio capabilities and open cross-border commercial opportunities.

- Ecosystem Representation: Represent MaRS, its health sciences portfolio, and the broader Canadian innovation ecosystem as an active spokesperson at local, national, and global industry events.

- Operational Excellence & Coordination: Maintain up-to-date pipeline records in Salesforce and shared drives, ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams on products, services, and partner communications.

- Data Integrity & CRM Tracking: Oversee pipeline tracking, deal status, and venture metrics within Salesforce and internal databases, ensuring data accuracy and actionable reporting on partnership pipeline and ecosystem impact.
