About this role
As Partner Growth Manager, you own the post-sale revenue performance of customers acquired through Intuit's reseller partner channel — reseller partners. Your book of business is organized by partner portfolio: you own all customers within your assigned partners' books for the full lifecycle of their relationship with Intuit's mid-market products.
The handoff to you happens at closed-won. From that point forward, you are the Intuit owner of that customer relationship — even while implementation is underway. During the implementation phase, which is run by a services team or services partner, your role is to maintain relationship continuity, monitor health signals, position expansion opportunities, and flag risks before they become churn. Once the customer is live, your focus shifts fully to retention and expansion: protecting gross revenue retention (GRR) and driving net revenue retention (NRR) through upsell, cross-sell, and upgrade motions across QuickBooks Advanced, Intuit Enterprise Suite, and Intuit Services.
This is a customer success role with sales KPIs. You carry quota on both retention and expansion, and you operate through and alongside the partner — the partner relationship is your primary lever for influencing customer outcomes at scale.
Responsibilities
Post-close engagement during implementation
- Receive structured handoffs from Partner Development Managers at closed-won, including customer profile, deal context, partner relationship notes, and expected go-live timeline.
- Establish a relationship with the customer and the implementation partner from day one of the implementation phase — not at go-live. Introduce yourself, set expectations for the post-implementation relationship, and create a foundation for the ongoing engagement.
- Monitor implementation health in collaboration with the services team or services partner: tracking milestone progress, identifying risks or delays, and escalating where the implementation trajectory threatens customer confidence or go-live timing.
- Identify and position expansion opportunities during the implementation phase — additional product lines, upgraded tiers, or service add-ons that are natural fits based on the customer's configuration and use case.
- Coordinate with the partner to ensure they are actively engaged in the customer's success during implementation, not just at point of sale.
Post go-live: retention and expansion
- Own GRR for your full book of business: proactively identify at-risk customers, develop and execute retention plans, and resolve the root causes of downgrade or churn risk before renewal conversations.
- Drive NRR through structured upsell, cross-sell, and upgrade motions: identifying expansion opportunities across QuickBooks Advanced, Intuit Enterprise Suite, Intuit Services, and Intuit Agent Studio, and executing those opportunities through and alongside the partner.
- Conduct regular customer health reviews in partnership with the reseller partner, establishing a shared view of product adoption, satisfaction, and expansion readiness.
- Own the renewal motion for your book: forecasting renewal outcomes accurately, engaging customers and partners ahead of renewal dates, and closing renewals on time and at or above contract value.
- Drive activation and adoption of Intuit Agent Studio as a retention and expansion lever — positioning AI capabilities as a reason to stay and expand, not just a feature.
Partner engagement
- Work through assigned reseller partners as the primary channel for customer engagement at scale — equipping partners with the customer health data, expansion plays, and renewal tools they need to act on your behalf.
- Run regular portfolio reviews with each assigned partner: shared pipeline of expansion and renewal opportunities, customer health status, and agreed action plans.
- Hold partners accountable to their post-sale commitments: implementation quality, customer engagement cadence, and renewal execution.
- Surface partner performance patterns — which partners are most effective at driving retention and expansion, and which need additional enablement or support — to the Partner Development Manager and broader Commercial Partnerships leadership.
Reporting and forecasting
- Maintain accurate GRR and NRR forecasts across your full book of business, with clear visibility into renewal dates, expansion opportunities, and at-risk accounts.
- Report on book of business health to Partner Development Manager and the broader Commercial Partnerships leadership on a regular cadence.
- Track and surface patterns in churn drivers, downgrade reasons, and expansion blockers to inform product, pricing, and program decisions.
HOW YOU'LL MEASURE SUCCESS
- Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) — primary retention quota. Measures the percentage of contracted revenue retained at renewal, excluding expansion.
- Net Revenue Retention (NRR) — primary expansion quota. Measures retained plus expansion revenue as a percentage of prior period contracted revenue.
- Renewal on-time rate: percentage of renewals closed on or before the renewal date.
- Expansion pipeline: volume and quality of upsell, cross-sell, and upgrade opportunities identified and progressed within the book.
- Implementation handoff quality: customer health score at go-live, as a measure of engagement during the implementation phase.
