The Senior Strategic and Operational Intelligence Analyst delivers proactive, forward-looking analysis of the cyber threat landscape and translates that analysis into direction and action for Humana's information security organization. You will set the strategic threat picture that guides CTI collection, processing, and analysis while supporting the development of proactive countermeasures that reduce Humana's exposure before threats materialize. Working with operational analysts, the analyst ensures strategic analysis translates into operational outcomes by shaping what CTI tracks, what partners act on, and where Humana strengthens its preparedness. The analyst applies AI, automation, and disciplined analysis to identify what matters most, anticipate changes in the threat landscape, and lead action on priority cyber threats. The analyst is comfortable working directly with threat and security data, exploring patterns, testing hypotheses, and combining quantitative evidence with qualitative intelligence to produce defensible assessments and practical recommendations.

- Identify priority threats and actors relevant to Enterprise Information Protection, Technology, Business, and Enterprise partners; ensure prioritization reflects sector-specific and Humana-specific risk

- Generate industry-leading analysis from concept to delivery with limited direction, sometimes on tight deadlines
Countermeasures Development
- Contribute to the development of proactive countermeasure packages that translate threat analysis into specific, prioritized actions for Detection Engineering, SOC, Threat and Vulnerability Management, and other consuming teams
- Work closely with CTI peers and control owners to ensure recommendations are actionable, appropriately scoped, feasible, and tied to current threats
Program Maturation and Tradecraft
- Influence the maturation and efficacy of the CTI program through continual improvement of analytic practices, tools, and services
- Review and edit CTI finished intelligence prior to dissemination, ensuring adherence to industry-leading analytic tradecraft standards and reinforcing rigorous analytic thinking across the team
- Apply AI and automation tools to enhance analysis, improve speed to insight, and deliver higher-impact intelligence outcomes; contribute to how the CTI team adopts and integrates AI into analytic workflows
- Experiment with data sources, analytic methods, and tools to answer emerging intelligence questions; refine approaches based on what the evidence shows
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of intelligence experience, with meaningful time in all-source cyber threat analysis and demonstrated experience contributing to operational intelligence workflows
- Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on problem-solving: comfortable exploring unfamiliar data, testing approaches, and adjusting an analysis
- Experience with the cyber threat landscape, including prominent actors, TTPs, and sector-specific threat trends
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools and their application to intelligence analysis, including using AI to accelerate research, structure analysis, and maintain analytic products at scale
- Experience analyzing structured or semi-structured data to answer intelligence questions, identify trends or anomalies, and communicate the limitations of the data and the confidence of resulting judgments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex subjects concisely
- Experience conducting analysis of the cyber threat landscape and translating that analysis into direction and action
- Working knowledge of security controls, enterprise technologies, telemetry, and defensive workflows, with experience partnering with detection, hunting, response, or vulnerability
