Your Next Career Opportunity – Senior Analyst, Finance Transformation
The Senior Analyst, Finance Transformation supports the design, implementation, testing, and adoption of future-state finance processes and enabling technology, with an immediate focus on the ERP Modernization program and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. The role partners with Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Operations, IT, Internal Audit, external advisors, and implementation partners to translate business needs into clear requirements, process designs, test evidence, controls, data validations, reporting needs, training materials, and measurable outcomes.
This position independently manages assigned deliverables, identifies cross-process impacts, challenges incomplete or inconsistent designs, and escalates risks with fact-based recommendations. The role requires strong financial acumen, disciplined documentation, analytical problem solving, and the ability to build productive relationships across technical and nontechnical teams.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements discovery with process owners and subject-matter experts; document business, functional, reporting, data, control, and nonfunctional requirements with clear acceptance criteria.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability from approved requirement through solution design, configuration or development, testing, defect resolution, training, and business acceptance.
- Document and analyze current-state and future-state processes, variants, roles, handoffs, decision points, controls, data inputs and outputs, system touchpoints, exceptions, and reporting dependencies.
- Assess proposed D365 designs for finance-process fit, accounting impact, usability, scalability, standardization, integration dependencies, and downstream reporting or control consequences.
- Support fit-to-standard and gap-resolution activities; distinguish true business, statutory, accounting, or control requirements from preferences and legacy practices.
- Develop and execute test scenarios and scripts across end-to-end processes; coordinate UAT readiness, evidence collection, defect triage, retesting, and business sign-off.
- Perform data profiling, mapping review, reconciliation, exception analysis, and source-to-target validation for migrated master and transactional data; document results and unresolved differences.
- Partner with process and control owners to identify SOX, segregation-of-duties, approval, audit-trail, interface, automated-control, and key-report considerations within future-state designs.
- Prepare clear decision materials, root-cause analyses, options, business cases, impact assessments, and recommendations for governance forums.
- Support change-impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, role mapping, procedure updates, communications, training content, readiness tracking, and post-deployment reinforcement.
- Define and monitor operational and transformation KPIs; support benefit baselines, target setting, benefit ownership, realization tracking, and variance explanations.
- Use data and process analytics to identify trends, exceptions, bottlenecks, control gaps, and continuous-improvement opportunities.
- Maintain complete, current, review-ready project artifacts in approved repositories and follow change-control, version-control, and approval requirements.
- Coordinate assigned actions, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies; communicate status concisely and escalate barriers early with proposed resolution paths.
- Support stabilization and continuous improvement after deployment, including issue analysis, process adherence, control performance, KPI trends, and enhancement prioritization.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance transformation, ERP implementation, business analysis, process improvement, data analytics, audit, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of core finance processes such as record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, fixed assets, project accounting, treasury, tax, close, consolidation, and financial reporting.
- Experience eliciting and documenting requirements, process flows, acceptance criteria, test cases, decisions, and business impacts.
- Experience with an ERP platform. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management is strongly preferred; other large-scale ERP experience is acceptable.
- Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Visio or process-mapping tools, Azure DevOps or similar work-management tools is preferred.
